It looks like it's so simple to do, but I spent a few hours on it. haha!

Uh Oh.

I knew I should not have been looking for at wedding gowns, but I peeked when I went into Davids Bridal and saw the most stunning gown I have ever laid my eyes on.

Here is where the problem presents itself; I have already purchased my gown from Davids, and I don't know if I can return it for an in-store credit since I bought it on Sale. I am going into the store tomorrow to ask them about this, and to try on the dress...oh, the other problem is that it is about $700 more than the one I have previously bought!

My Question to you ladies is, to stick with a gown that I already have and that I don't absolutely love, but I'm "in like" with it or would you go and get the gown of your dreams?! haha. I'm stuck. Has anyone where dealt with Davids and exchanging items? I can't find anything on their policy online!

It FINALLY came together! All the BM dresses are ordered. All the shoes are purchased. The tux's are reserved!

Help. I need to know if my idea is dumb/tacky/trashy/impossible etc etc etc...

I want to get hydrangeas for my bouquet, butthey are ridiculously expensive and have to be ordered from some third world country in November...I found some awesome silk ones at Micheal's; here's the idea- I use the silk flowers and then add in real flowers, so it's half and half.

Thoughts/Ideas for white flowers that resemble hydrangeas?

The Monogram "A" in the center is the same font as our Monogram Cake Topper covered in crystals, so it matches, perfectly!!

I don't know exactly where to use this monogram within our decor, but I just wanted to share! I can adjust the colors, depending on what it goes on.

If you have any unique ideas of places to print this, let me know, I'm stumped!

I really, really, what us write & exchange vows before we say 'I do'.

My Fiance says "absolutely not" because he doesn't think its something we need to say in front of everyone, and I can respect that...but do you have any ideas how we can exchange vows, but maybe not publicly, but in a memorable way where we can both get what we want?

I LOVE free samples! If you didn't know, I've been waiting on a chair cover sample for a few weeks now- and it JUST came in, with a whole bunch of other goodies!!

Okay so first off, I am surprisingly impressed with the quality of the chair covers, for being disposable and all! I don't know how to explain the fabric, but you know that fabric at the hospitals that blankets are sometimes made out of? Thats the stuff. Of course in the photos the chair cover is super wrinkly, but I was reading online that it can be ironed on a super low setting...and since I am getting 100+ of these, I cannot WAIT to do that *sarcasm*. The chair cover came with a strip of the same fabric to make the bow, which is in one of the pictures, it adds a bit of 'oomph' to it, but not enough to please me.

Also included in my package was a piece of blue organza, I liked how this looked much better than the included bow, but of course, its not included when normally purchased. I already bought 80 yards of black tulle to wrap my chairs with (thank goodness for Memorial Day sales!) and as you can see, the pets love the cover as well!

Next, the fake plastic silverware. The picture of the utensils do not do them justice! You can't tell its plastic until you pick it up! They are SO shiny! This was not on my list to purchase- but it is now!

I'm not one for pew bows- so I have no opinion.

One of the 'pick ups' on the front of the dress is isn't 'picking up'. It will be fixed when it goes in for alterations.

So I purchased my shoes for the ceremony, about a 3 inch heel....I figured my feet are going to be killing me after taking pictures and what not. I was originally going to wear flats the whole day, because they are super comfy- but the problem with me wearing flats is that I am 5'0" and my Fiance is 6'3", and all my BM's are above 5'5" so I didn't want to look like a midget standing up next to everyone.

But REALLY- I want to wear these for the reception. There is just one problem- My dress is going to be hemmed to go with my heels...will it look way too long if I wear the flats at the reception?

Do any of you gals have a pear shape? Do you wear the point facing towards you or away?

I, personally, wear it facing towards my fingertips because I think it 'visually elongates' my stubby fingers. But, I'd like to take a poll!!

update: DEAR BRIDESMAIDS; YOU CAN LOOK, I GOT YOU LADIES SOMETHING DIFFERENT!

I have been looking, for months, something to get my girls. I JUST, about 2 minutes ago, came across Chachabella.com with some amazing rings that sparkle, and come with a friendship poem, and packaged super cute. They run about $57/each, which is more than I wanted to spend, but they are too adorable to pass up.

Black and White with touches of Yellow, only in the flowers. Since we're having an Autumn wedding, we are doing Sunflowers on the tables. No one will be actually wearing the yellow- because I dont want little bumble-bee's running around! :) The ceremony will be just black & white, no colors at all. Now, the reception is going to have pops of color on each table, it'll be very unexpected. The damask fabric (to the left) will be the fabric for the table runners. :)

Im SO excited on the color scheme now.

I have read that if you're wearing a veil, then you dont wear your hair half up/down. I am wearing a veil, but I really want to wear my hair like the pictures I just posted...Has anyone seen brides with half up hair & a veil? Does it look funny? I can't find ANY pictures, any where.

UPDATE: The lady from the bridal shop was crazy, and told me this about the half up/half down. After much debate, i came to the conclusion that her theory was bogus. :]

I went to the reception hall a few days ago, and got a sneak peek at the chairs and tables and whatnot. I was very disappointed that the chairs were just the average gray folding chair. I don't know what I was hoping for, but just something a bit more. I immediatly came home and hopped on line to check out chair covers, the least I could find was $3/chair but the shipping on the covers was out of this world!

We have a $6,000 budget and 100 guests. There is no way I was going to spend 1/6th of the budget on chair covers, so I almost just gave up all hope, and I was going to deal with the ugly chairs...UNTIL...I came across a website that has Disposable Chair covers- they look and feel like fabric, but are paper. The cheapest I found where $1.93 a cover @ www.divinedisposables.com (this website has EVERYTHING, and is very reasonably priced. I bookmarked it immediately!)

I ordered a sample, and will defiantly give reviews on that. Just wanted to let you ladies know where the best deal was!

Our ORIGINAL plan was to do, Ivory, Champagne, Red and Black. The more and more I see Black and Red together, the more I find it very "gothic" which is NOT the look we're going for. I don' know if just Black and White though is too harsh though, granted, it is very classy and modern at the same time- but is it 'too plain' or 'too harsh'?

I put the pictures of some fabrics I absolutely adore, if we decide to do the B&W, I still am wondering if it is too harsh or if the patterns are too 'loud'.

I love this website. I come on here all the time, just to get ideas for my own wedding. I'm going to use my blog to just keep all my ideas together- so just a heads up, its probably not going to be super organized. :) I just need a place to write things down, right when they pop into my head- or else, I'll forget!
