So a few posts ago I said that we were going to get married at a nearby park. Well unfortunately although it is beautiful, I walked down to it the other day and realized that you can totally hear the traffic going by...sooooo bummed! I went home and talked it over with the FH and he told me to start looking for other affordable spots. To my dismay, all of the places that I was interested in were either way out of our budget, OR required catering (which we are not doing because the Mr. and his family are all cooks and want to provide the food)! I was heartbroken UNTIL I got an email back from a place that is newer and not as well known yet and THEY HAD OUR DATE OPEN!! WOO HOO!
Anyways, although the FH couldn't join me yesterday I went for a little drive down to the venue to see it in person, and I swear to you that the minute I walked in I got teary eyed because I knew it was just PERFECT! It is actually a RV resort along with a hotel, situated on a river, AND in the country! The ballroom is stunning, with a large room that can be divided into two if we wanted the ceremony inside too, it has floor to ceiling windows on the side that overlooks the river and has a patio and lawn area that we can do whatever we want with! Just so darn excited...I just need to get him there this weekend to take a peak so that we can confirm it is THE PLACE, and put our deposit down! Such a relief! :-)
