Wedding Flowers
Now what do I get???

I'm sad. It doesnt look like I will be able to get the flowers I wanted. I really fell in love with the white Anemones. They were beautiful and I felt like they would have went perfect with my wedding. The florist doesnt think she will be able to get them and that they may not even be in season. When I did my research I found that Anemones were year round. Well I guess there are different types and the particular ones I wanted bloom in late summer. Since I changed my date up, it doesnt look like I can get them.

So now I am on the hunt for a new flower! I want a white flower, but yet something that is summery and beachy. I loved the petals of the white Anemone....

Anyone have any suggestions on flowers that are white and will look good with a beach wedding?? I'm open for suggestions...

So far I have like the white oleanders....

Good luck with the search...I had my heart set on white tulips but am getting married too late in the spring/summer to use them.  It totally sucks when you know what you want and can't have it!

Aww that sucks your florist isn't able to get them in. What about white peonies or white amaryllis?

Or another option....what if you are able to get the flowers and just have your florist assemble them? You can order the Anemones wholesale from www.fiftyflowers.com. It says they are available all year round. So that way you could still have the flowers you really want, and then just pay your florist to assemble them in a bouquet for you.

I agree with amcs76...peonies are very beatufil. I wanted tulips and peonies too but they are way too expensive for or budget...so I am making them myself out of crepe paper. I've made a couple and they look pretty. I don't mind at all that I will not real flowers at my wedding. Good Luck!

the white anemones with the black centre are very difficult to obtain in any sort of a colder climate.

if you like the frillyness of the petals consider lisianthus, if you like the dark centres consider getting miniature white gerbera daisies with a dark centre (often refered to as "husky")

when i am unable to get those particular anemones (in my area available for only one MAYBE 2 weeks of the year) i generally recoment using large white roses, cream or ivory spray rose clusters, white lisianthus and mini gerberas with black centres.  it has a similar look and is relatively affordable compared to the anemones
