I almost always take it off at night--and if I'm in the house knowing I'm not going to go out. If I do cleaning--either the dishes or the house I try to rmemeber to take it off.

Same here...I take it off for sleeping and cleaning. Mostly so I won't ruin it because the center diamond is high and it gets in the way. I don't take it off though when we go out to eat and I wash my hands for the fear of forgetting it on the counter or something. One of my friends lost their ring like at. ^_^

I hate taking my ring off...it only comes off when I am baking/decorating cakes and showering, not when I sleep. My ring is insured, so if anything ever happens to it, lost/stolen/damaged, it is completely covered.

I found a huuuuge sapphire ring at the local mall once, because someone had taken it off, and left it by the sink. I turned it into security, and I hope the original owner got it back.

I took off my ring for the winter, because my hands are ALWAYS cold, and it feels like it would fall off. I don't want to have it resized, because come summer, my hands will expand, and the ring won't fit then either.

Throughout the rest of the year, I take it off for showering, dishes, and baths. I probably should take it off for general housecleaning, as my gem is very soft, but I don't.

Thanks for all your responses. I too have insurance on my ring and have it checked, but still worried something might happen even though it would be covered.

I usually wear it to sleep, but take it off for showers, to wash my hands at home, and to put lotion on. When I'm cleaning or doing dishes, I wear rubber gloves, so I don't take it off. However, when it gets cold, the ring gets pretty loose, so if I'm doing crafts or using my hands a lot, I'll take it off for the duration, just so it doesn't slip off or get in my way.
My ring is also insured, so I'm not terribly worried about it.

I usually keep mine on most of the time...I occasionally take it off at work when I am typing on the computer because it bothers me, and I sometimes have to take it off because I get eczema on my hands and fingers. I sleep with mine on, and shower with it on. The only other time I will remove it is when I'm baking.

i sleep with it on but i take it off when i am cleaning or washing my face/showering. when it gets cold and too big for my left hand i switch it to my right hand. i don't want to get it resized because there are times when my fingers swell and it feels snug. i would NEVER take it off in public....when i was a kid i took my ring off to wash my hands at the fair and forgot to put it back on and lost it. i was so sad.

I only take my ring off when I am cooking dinner & washing my face. I feel absolutely naked without it!

I only take my ring off when i'm cooking or doing cleaning with strong chemicals. I have really good ins on my ring, and a lifetime warranty on my ring. So if my stone was to fall out, I would be completly covered. Its funny though I've wore my ring so much that I have like a permanant impression lol

I do almost everything with my ring on other than shower- I sleep with it on, clean with it on (I wear rubber gloves though), etc. If I took it off every night, the cat would probably play with it like it's a toy, or the dog would eat it! and if neither of those happened, then I'd probably just never wear it- I don't think about putting it on unless I've just come out of the shower. really, the only time I can recall deliberately taking it off was when I was baking loads of things back around christmas and my hands were constantly in gooey dough.

I always take my off at night and put it in my jewelry box. And I take it off when I get in the shower and put it in the jewelry box. And then when I'm doing dishes, I set it on the table in the kitchen. That's IT. I don't put it anywhere else.The first couple months I had it, I set it on my dresser and my cats knocked it off and played with it until it ended up in the hallway and I FREAKED out but then I found it! So I'm very paranoid about it now, haha.

mine never leaves my hand. my ring has insurance so if anything happens to it, it's covered. I've never had a problem with losing a diamond or damaging it ever. even with dishes, showering, sleeping, even gardening. my ring is a part of my hand. I feel naked without it.

I always keep mine on. I take it off for practices (for softball) and that's it. But I clean it regularly.

I VERY rarely take mine off. I probably should sometimes but I am way too afraid of losing it! I'm VERY forgetful and could see myself taking it off to wash my hands and then forgetting to put it back on, or dropping it down the drain (really, I would do something this stupid!) So it stays on while I shower, while I sleep, while I clean. The only time I have taken it off is while I play soccer since the ref gets angry when you don't....

i take mine off to sleep only because my fingers get really swollen in the morning and i want to take it off to shower. i always planned to keep it on and never take it off, but then i realized that i didn't want diamonds to go missing either!

I used to take it off because I sleep pretty wild and scratched D in the face with it but now both of us are used to it. The only time I take it off is if I'm doing cleaning in any kind of chemicals or when taking a shower because my hair is long and curly and it sometimes gets caught on it.

I take it off to shower, bake or wash dishes but otherwise I wear it all the time. I have a cute little toothpick holder in the kitchen with a little toothpick spear that I hold it on while I have it off in the kitchen. I forgot to put it back on when I went out for a few hours today and it drove me crazy!

I take mine off to wash pots and pans, clean, shower and before I go to bed at night. Before I go to bed, I usually lather myself up with moisturizer and I would hate to get it in my pave!!! I even kept my ring box and I love opening it up every morning to put it on. Ha!

I have the box sittign on the counter top next to my keys. so when i leave the house i take my keys and slip the ring on.

I take my ring off when I go to bed, I don't clean with my ring on, & I don't wear mine in the show either! I just don't want something to happen to my ring! Oh, and I wash my hands with my ring on.

When I first got my ring I didnt want to take it off for nothing but one night when i was sleeping I must of taken it off in my sleep and the next morning the ring was not on my finger... i looked for it like crazy and coulnt find it..I got histerical because it was nowhere to be found...Finally I found it stuck between the head board and the bed...So from now on I DONT sleep with it on...

I take mine off when I go to bed as well as when I have clinicals in the hospital and when I work in the hospital.

I do now take it off when I lift weights because I notice it is getting bent from it. So that is the only time I take it off.

I always have mine on! I even shower with it. I do take it off when I put lotion on. I figure its a very expensive platinum ring which was made to be worn on your hand for the rest of your life so if it cant go through ordinary life than there is a serious problem!!!!! Also I tend to lose things so taking it off is scary..if its on my finger I wont lose it! Diamonds can scratch glass so I am not to worried about it being damaged! Also, I have insurance if I were to lose it but to me worrying I will damage it is silly!

I only take mine off to put lotion on. Other than that, it's always on my finger. If I take it off I freak out when I realize that I'm not wearing it. I am SO paranoid about losing it. But that's probably because it cost so much! I'm going to hate it when I have to send it off with my wedding band to get resized :( I'm going to have to wear a ring on that finger so it doesn't feel naked for a week.

I take it off for sleeping and cleaning. The main reason I take it off for sleeping is because the first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is take a shower and my fingers are really swollen in the morning so if I dont take it off at night I have to wrestle it off my finger before my shower (hard water is bad).

I NEVER take my ring off! I took it off the second day that I had it and was eating crab legs. I had it sitting on a napkin right in front of me and my ever helpful FH THREW IT AWAY!!! So after diggin in the trash, I refuse to take it off ever again! LOL

when i brought it to the store, i told the lady that it needs to be re-sized b/c when I wash my hands or take a shower it wants to slip off.

She chewed my butt about wearing my ring all the time. (I mean the people who were in the store shopping for jewelry left, so they didn't have to encounter this woman.) She told me that I should only wear it to work and in public and that she takes hers off the second she walks in the house.
I said "The whole reasoning behind the lifetime warranty/insurance is so i CAN wear it all the time. And if it is too big, or the diamond falls out then it is your job to fix it."

Never, i did at first to sleep, wash up, moisturize etc but then I almost dropped it down the garbage disposal and had heart failure.
Now I only take it off when I am using cleaning chemicals. I pop it in jewelry cleaner and warm water once a week to keep the shine and remove junk

I always take mine off at night. I can't sleep with jewelry on. Then again while I am around the house I don't wear it at all. Just when I leave and go somewhere.

I take my ring off when showering, applying make up & lotion and tanning. OH and when I clean it lol

Wow i feel left out... let me leave a comment!!! I NEVER take my ring off unless i'm doing dirty work or putting lotion on! I'm to forgettful! I have Insurance on it so i'm good! When i first got engaged i was still coaching Collegiant level cheerleading and playing intramural flag football so i would dhave to take it off for games or when i was at practice stunting or tumbling. But thats IT other than that i just take it for regular cleanings. i feel naked without it!

anyhooo yes I whear my ring ALL the time.. even when I sleep... the only time I take it off, is when I shower, Clean, or garden.. or anything messy...

I love my ring too... it's amazing... Our guys picked a good one!!! lol
