Engagement Photos
Better late than never...
So, we FINALLY took our engagement photos last weekend. Of course, we waited until the very last minute....and what happends? As soon as the photographer showed up...it stated raining...and you know what? When we were all done, and he started to leave- it stopped and the sun came out. lol
Oh well. We had a blast doing it....and we were able to take them on the lot of our new home in front of the river. Oh, and.....we had a little fun with them as you can see... ;0) |

Wedding Party Gifts...Do you think this is ok??
Since our wedding is on the 4th of July, I feel kinda like we are cheating our attendants out of their normal festive holiday activities.
Also, since our wedding party is so large- even if we only spent $20 on each person, we could be shelling out a good $450 at least just in gifts - and what kind of special, meaningful non cheezy gift can you get for $20? So, here is my solution. We just bought a house on the river, with a large lot. We decided to have our rehersal dinner there, catered by someone who will grill our food for us right there. We will also supply drinks, and a personal touch...fireworks. That way, they will not be missing out on fireworks. All of our friends like BBQ's, bonfire, etc....so my question is- do you think that is a good enough 'gift' - or do you think they may feel cheated? Please tell me your thoughts.... Thanks! |

Really needing your girls' help on this one! Ceremony music...
What music are you using at your ceremony??
We have so much going on right now. I can not tell you how stressed and exausted I am. We are still working on one house so that we can sell it...all the while working on the new house as well so that we can start living in it. And-I still have so much wedding stuff to do....& with only 25 days left until the wedding, I have to say- I am really getting over whelmed. I have started feeling sick from being so tired all the time! I don't have enough time to get all this done. We meet with the pastor again on Tuesday...he is going to ask me again what music we are using during the ceremony. I have no clue. PLEASE help. I need prelude music, processional music, recessional- all of it. Are you having the wedding party walk down to something different than you are? If so, to what? Any and all help you can offer will be so greatly appriciated!! |

Flower Girl Dress
The Flower Girl Dresses are in! They are SOO cute!
This was not the dress I originally wanted, these are pretty simple, and I never been much of a bow person...but I have to say I really like them. Couldn't be happier! I think they look adorable in it! :0)

It's Today! It's Today!!
We are FINALLY signing papers on our new home!!
2 years ago, almost to the day....Jeremy moved into my house that I had bought prior to meeting him. At the time, it was perfect for my son and I.....MY, how things change so quickly!!
All of a sudden my house went to being perfect for 2 people, to being way over stuffed with 5 ,on the weekends that his boys are staying. Now we will have a nice house, with a beautiful view (right on the river)...with lots of room for our children to play. It needs a little work to make it 'perfect' for us....but that is the fun part! I have to admit though, I am a little stressed! We haven't sold my house yet, we are still getting it ready to sell. Not to mention, the wedding is in less than two months...we are trying to sell a house, buy a house and move....and there is still so much to do with the wedding! I just keep thinking: ~ Our first home together in our new life......Awwhhh! :0) ~ it's all going to work out! (right?!?) |

My wedding invitation wording....Nice or Cheezy??
Sine we are having our wedding on the 4th of July, I am trying to make it festive, without being cheezy.
My colors are pink white and silver, instead of the red, white, and blue.... So, here is the wording I came up with for our invites- what do you think? The invitation is in card form...so it opens. On the left side it will say: Crystal ---- and Jeremy ---- July 4, 2009 ~~~~~~~~ An answered prayer he is to me; My greatest blessing shell always be. And so this day well pledge our love in front of friends, family, and God above. Then on the right, it will say..... Please celebrate with us the explosion of new life and witness how our love sparkles for one another as we begin our future together with a bang! Crystal ---- and Jeremy ---- Saturday, the fourth of July 2009 at four thirty in the afternoon ------- ------ Church ---------Street ------------ Iowa Reception to follow at the -------------- Main Street----------- Iowa 6:00 P.M. So ~ cheezy? |

Wedding Dress
My dress is in, and I have brought it home!
I ordered my dress in St Louis, MO which is about 4 hours from where we live. My bridesmaids and I decided to take a group trip together when it came in....we all had a great time.
This looks soooo much better than the ivory dress that was 6 sizes to big for me that I originally tried on! Now, just a few alterations are needed, and it will be perfect. Do you girls like it?? |
