This is soontobemrsspears's Pink Wedding!

We've been talking lately about moving the date of our wedding back alittle bit. I know, for me I'm starting to stress about the fact that May 9, 2009 is less than 200 days away, and we have nothing done yet, nothing bought (except my dress), and so much to do. With the economy sucking so stinkin' bad, we are waiting until January to start to buy things for the wedding, that way we can give Darian a decent Christmas. The other date that we've been thinking about changing it too, is June 27, 2009. That will give us alittle while longer to get things going and save some more money. The problem with May is that its early enough in May, we don't know how the weather really will be. And even though I don't care if it rains, I'm worried about mud. Plus, you never know if there will still be snow, how cold its going to be that early in the month or anything like that. I want to have outside pictures done, but I want it to be nice and springy and lots of flowers and pretty.....early in May, it just might not be like that. June 27th is looking better and better.....for many reasons.....one, is that we met on June 28th. Stacy's birthday is the 26th, which is Friday, if we get married that weekend, we'll be togehter 2 years, that weekend! I think that that is so sweet. Plus, it's warm or getting warmer at the end of June, and it just might be perfect. Then again, it's probably graduation weekend, and we'll have to book everything SOON, so we don't lose everything that we need (reception, church, etc.....). So we definately have to make up our minds soon.....

I'm not a big cake fan, but since its our wedding, of course, we need a cake!! LOL!! I like different ones, crooked cakes, fun cakes......but I just don't know. What do you think?

Our flowers will be ordered from an EBAY store in the beginning of the year. I have picked these because of the pink. It matches the choice of dress color that we picked perfectly!! I absolutely LOVE the flowers and can't wait to get them!! They come with one brides bouquet, a throw bouquet, 4 bridesmaids, 9 boutineeres, & 4 mothers corsages. I seriously can't wait to get them!!
Damn, I am soooooo lucky!! Not everyone gets to marry their best friend and spend the rest of their life with them!! Yay!!

I picked my bridesmaids early, because I knew who I wanted to be in our wedding.

*Andrea - my bestest friend, the friend I've had since birth practically.
*Lisa - my other bestest friend, we met 10 years ago, and have been friends since the moment we met!
*Cassie - my other bestest friend, we met at work a few years ago, and I couldn't imagine my wedding with out her in it!!

and of course,
*Darian - Stacy's 14 year old daughter. She is a wonderful kid, and I am so blessed that I get to be in her life!!

My sister Jaime, is going to be our photographer. She is doing it professionally now and is doing a wonderful job. I wouldn't want anyone else except for her to do our pictures. I am so happy that she will be with me from the moment I wake up on that day until we leave the reception!! Yay!!

We decided not to have any kids in the wedding party. I have 3 nieces and 1 nephew and Stacy has 2 nieces and 2 nephews. We obviously couldn't pick and choose, but didn't want all of them in there because of the confusion, so we decided that we wouldn't have any of them. They will be there the day of the wedding and everyone is saving money because they won't have to buy gowns and tuxes for all of the kids!!

Stacys guys are as follows - (they aren't too keen on the idea of wearing pink some where with their black tux, but they better deal with it!!) hehe!!

Best Men -
*Will - Stacy's best friend since they were little kids. The two of them got into a lot of trouble in their time, but boys will be boys!
*Glenn - Stacy's brother. I am very glad that Glenn is going to be there and stand up for Stacy on our day!!
*Mike - Will's brother, and he and Stacy have been friends just as long as Stacy and Will.....have you ever heard of the three amigos?!?
*William - My brother. I can't wait to get out on the dance floor and bust a move with my little brother!!


All of these people are so special to us! We couldn't imagine our special day with out them there!!

I never thought that I would meet the man of my dreams online, but I did!! Stacy called me one Friday night and I didn't answer, I was out with one of my best friends and when I listened to the message I told my friend that I really thought I should call this guy and meet him. I sent Stacy a text message late Friday night, and we texted most of Saturday and finally on Sunday we connected on the phone. Our first conversation was for about 3 hours. As soon as we hung up the phone, I sent him a text, and next thing we knew we were back on the phone and another two hours had gone by! That Tuesday was Stacys birthday, and Wednesday I had to work late. Finally by Thursday we arranged to meet, and we met for dinner in Hornell. We met at Friendly's and as soon as I saw him, I started to cry. I was shaking so bad. We hugged immediately and he gave me a little kiss and patted my on my butt. LOL. We went in and neither one of us ate anything!! We just talked and talked. After that we went to a baseball game where he got to meet one of my bestest friends Lisa. That night was the night my life changed. I called my mom on my way home and told her I met the man I was going to marry.
That Friday night, we went out to dinner again, and went some shopping. That Saturday afternoon/night we went to my friend Cassie's wedding, and we have literally been inseperable since then!! About a week after that, I met Stacys daughter Darian, and Stacy met my parents and I met his.
Two months later I moved in.
Three months after that we were engaged!!

Stacy proposed to me on November 3, 2007. It was a Saturday and he had gotten up early to go to work and left me home by myself for the day. I spent the day doing housework, laundry, ya know....the fun stuff. LOL. When he got home he looked like something terrible had happened. I met him in the kitchen and he had tears in his eyes and told me that we needed to talk. Me, being the forever pessimistic person that I am, stormed off because I thought he was going to hurt me. He followed me into the bedroom, and got right in my face and I told him that if he was going to hurt me that I was going to punch him in his face, and as I said that, he dropped to one knee and told me that he couldn't live with out me and asked me to be his wife!! We both started crying even more and I yelled yes! oh my goodness, yes!! So that night, we had dinner at my grandmother's house and he asked my parents and my grandmother for my hand in marriage and they agreed and we've been planning our perfect day since that very moment!! I can't wait to marry him!!
