Bridesmaids
Too simple?

I really liked this dresses, but someone pointed out to me that they were too simple for the dress I picked out?
The first picture is the colors Pool and Truffle.(Keep in mind that the Pool dress I tried on was about 4 sizes to big and being held in the back)
The second is the actual bm and jr. bm (with a different color and style dress)
What do you guys think?

I hate when people say that....too simple for the dress. If you love them, buy them! I think they are gorgeous!

I really like them.  It's all about your taste though.  If you like the style, but feel like something is missing or want to spice it up, you can always do so with accessories.  Maybe a nice, sparkly necklace, brooch, or beautiful earrings.

I think they are beautiful.  I don't even think they are too simple.  Mine are the same colors but are strapless with a tie around the waist in alternating color. But I love this look too, especially the sash or whatever that is in the middle, very cute! I went with Pool shoes with the pool dress and they look very cute.

I love that dress! I considered it for my wedding but my sister is heavier and it poofed out too much with the A-line! they look great on your bridesmaid though! Go for it!!!

That's my bridesmaid dress. The pic doesn't do it any justice. It look A LOT nicer in person.
Trust me, you can't please everyone. So, since it's your day, as long as your girls comfortable in their dress, that's all that gmatters.

I agree with the gals.  They are not too simple.  They are really pretty.  The satin dresses them up.

Now for my second dilemma, my MOH is a little larger (and unable to try on dresses till she comes up my way for Thanksgiving) and I don't want to have my heart set on this dress.

What are some styles of dresses are better for ladies who are on the larger side?

Thanks for all the comments!!

I can't tell really well from the picture, but it doesn't look like your dress is all crazy elaborate or anything. I think the two go well together, both are very pretty and classy. I could see a mismatch if the bridesmaids were wearing like a plain black sheath dress or something and you had this extravagant, beaded, tiered, long train thing, but you don't. I like them.

i've been watching A LOT of "What Not to Wear" on TV.  :)  and what i gather from the show is a girl with a larger frame needs to wear a dress that gives the illusion of a waist.  and that is what that band is doing.  so i think...from my expert opinion... that that dress would be flattering on ALL body types.

OMG...I love these dresses!!  When I first went to David's Bridal's website, this dress was my top pick for my BMs (in the color Pool) but then when I did the "Dress Your Wedding" thingie, the way that the dresses looked on there it made them look like they were too short and that they stopped above the knees which I absolutely didn't want!!  My BMs haven't even tried on any dresses yet so thank goodness it's not too late, but after seeing this dress on actual people I've just fallen in love with it all over again...and guess what??!!  It's actually the perfect length and falls just below the knees which is exactly how I want them to be...but for whatever reason it looked extremely short online!!  And I don't think it should matter what style BMs dresses you get to go with your dress...you don't want theirs to be too fancy and then end up out-staging your dress now do you??!! lol...and besides only you know what kind of look or vibe you have in mind for your own wedding...so I would say go for it if you love them...I know I surely do!!! ;-)

This dress is definitely not for the bigger girls. My MOH is a bit bigger also. So, when she tried this style on, it looked soooo ugly.  So, she got a different style, which is what she wanted from teh beginning. Check my blog and you'll see the stylle she got. It really slims her down.
