Ok so after getting the prices from the florist. I've decided to make my own centerpieces. I plan on doing something similar to the picture but I plan on adding the submersible lights and marble in the glass. So I've been searching trying to save money and I first found my vases on craigslist 24 for $70. That's the vase in the picture. Then I just checked again this week and I'm buying a 20lb bag of marbles for $10 and 25 lights for .75 cents a piece. I started to use the flowers in the pic but everyone says they look too fake :( so I'm going to buy real carnations. What do you think.

Great find! I love Craigslist too. Maybe if you take out some of the greenery and add the flowers to a styofoam ball, they would look more realistic. That's what I am planning to do!

I had good luck on buying and selling a few wedding related items on there. Nothing feel better than saving wedding money :)

I love the vases and I think you did a great job arranging the flowers, they look as real as fake flowers are going to look.  I like the greenery in there I feel like too many brides just drop the greens and I always think it adds a nice touch.

if you find that the flowers look too fake, take out some of the leaves, since the green can overpower the lighter shade and make it look drab.  I think it will look simple and elegant when done!
