Wedding Flowers
Peonies- done!
I found a girl at school that does wedding bouquets on the side and at a great price! $250 for all the flowers! She said I would probably have to have two bouquets due to them being white, but I am alright with that considering it is only $250.
I have always loved Peonies. They remind me of summers spent at my grandparent's house. Their walkway was lined with them, and I can still remember the smell. |

Wedding Invitation
One of my new favorites
Every now and again when I design an invitation for someone I think, "wow- I really love this style". It then makes me rethink the colors and style of my wedding.Maybe I have a style change coming on? Maybe not.
I'm in love with the red & aqua theme, but I also love the elegant, simple look too. (((sigh))) |

Topper for Cutting Cake

NWR: got a surprise gift from my momma today!
I finally got the embroidery machine that I have been drooling over for the last year. She found it at an outlet mall in Gatlinburg. Can't wait to use this. Maybe I will be able to add onto my Etsy store later on, plus...make cute little outfits for any future babies :)

Bridesmaids
Going without.
We have decided that we are going to do without bridesmaids and groomsmen as of right now. Neither one of us can think of a person that we absolutely wanted standing up there with us, other than ourselves. Plus, I see through all of WBC posting how much drama there is to have bridesmaids. My best friend and my sister will help me through all of the planning but they (esp. my sister) understands why we do not want to include this in our special day.

Wedding Cake
Cupcakes- Budget Approved!
Simple yet cute! (plus the price of them fit into our budget!)
I love cake, but I especially love cupcakes. So, when it comes to planning this wedding I am most definitely excited about getting to go cake tasting! Hopefully I can find someone who can make the cupcake for around $1.50-$2/each. We don't plan on having a huge wedding so I think that this can be managed within our budget. |

This last week I have been super (and gratefully) busy designing invitations and runners. Every little bit helps when it comes to paying for this wedding.

Wedding Date
Changed.
We have decided to move our wedding up to May 26, 2012. There are a few reasons for the change however I will be graduating the week before the wedding. The idea is to graduate, get married, honeymoon, then jump into a career. The change does present an issue though..our budget. Our budget was small, with the change in date it makes the budget even smaller.
Good thing we live out in the country and we can throw the reception in the backyard if we need to. |
