And I don't know I'm going to find what I want. What would work for us as far as the religious affiliation goes is NOT what I'm looking for as far as the aesthetics are concerned. It's important to me not to have to decorate the church short of a few aisle decorations and maybe an archway or alter. And neither my fiance and I are religious. I mean he's a Catholic I'm a quasi pagan something or another. We don't want an overbearingly religious ceremony.
I've so far found an Episcopalian Church that I like but know nothing about their views on outside weddings. Anybody Episcopal?
And the mystery church, a church hunny and I passed in our wanderings that has a gorgeous red and wrought iron front door that we know nothing else about or where to find it again, lol.
I know we've got a while to sort it out... but we don't have a lot of options in the area.
And that's another thing...how far is appropriate to ask guests to travel from the ceremony to the reception?
I keep assuming I have to find a church in the same town we're holding the reception.
It would be handy for your guest to have a church close to the reception, but I know that about up to a 40min drive is acceptable between the two. Hope you find something cute!
