the loooong story of us..

We've dated on..and off..and back on, lol for over 8 years. When we first started dating it was pretty casual and so I kinda ended things (I just turned 21...didn't want any strings!). We kept in contact, and ended up back together 4 years ago. It's been the best thing in my life! I feel like we took time to grow up, and now it's the relationship that's great for both of us! He's my best friend, my shoulder to cry on, and much more..

this was my first diy project.

I used to pass notes a lot in school, what girl didn't? So I wanted my 'will you be my bridesmaid's' to be nostalgic. I sent them out, and it was a hit!

Here's our reception site

It's a beautiful club house right on Lake Michigan in Chicago. We were so excited when we found it, it has everything we want: outdoors, intimate, and not badly priced! It was a b^&$# to get a date, because this place is pretty popular. But we ended up with 9/04/10! Which is awesome because its Labor Day weekend! Now it's just a matter of figuring out how to decorate this space. Our style is simple, nothing too frilly, or insane! I do a lot of graphic design so most of our stuff will probably be d.i.y. (which I can't wait to get started).

this is my dress...

this is the only dress I think I've ever liked on me! Lucky for me it happens to be the one I'm going to wear when I get married...

here's a pic of me in it, lol we had to do it quickly because pics weren't allowed hence me holding it up with my hands!
