the most frustrating part has been trying to tell the families and work out the budget. At this point, because no ones willing to cough up any numbers I've just thrown a pretty average budget together and I'm telling them how much they're giving us. (10k each) Everything else has been pretty simple... other than the colors. we've changed colors several times.

well two things went horribly wrong. first, it was about three months out, and my FH and I weren't sure if the wedding was even going to be possible because of finances, but we figured it out. second, my hairdresser just told me he had a family obligation (just a month out!) and said he couldn't do my hair or my 8 bridesmaids. luckily, one of my bridesmaids' hair dresser is available for that many girls and on the date we needed. I'm really hoping nothing else major goes wrong.....

not recieving the encouragement or acceptance from family members at first, and then having to move the wedding another year. that was really hard. Its also a little upsetting because my mom doesnt seem like she wants to be invovled in the wedding planning, even though she is happier now that we moved the wedding back a year, she doenst seem interested in doing any of the 'mother daughter' stuff that I kinda always expected. She hasnt expressed any interest in anythign I show her. Maybe closer to the wedding she might.  We arent too far into the planning though, so I'm sure theres more to come.

I have to go with the family thing too.  My sister started planning her wedding almost 2 years before it was going to take place and she, my mother and I would all sit around and look at pictures and things.  Now that I'm planning mine a year and a half out, they act like it's too early and they don't have to care yet.  I think the main reason is they were totally in sync with what they wanted (very, very traditional wedding) whereas mine is pretty much as different as different can be.  Hopefully by the time we get to the year mark, everyone will support my unique ideas and help me plan!

I think that the most frustrating part is the money. Both my FI and I are  finishing up graduate school and weddings are so freakin expensive. I think we were blown away by the reality of the cost of a wedding. We thought that we had a budget planned and when looking around and starteed booking things, our budget has literally DOUBLED. I don't know if I was just stupid to think that I could do it for my original budget or what. But all in all, I love that I am getting married and am happy with it all :)

I would have to say my biggest frustration has been the pavilion we want to rent at the lake. The lake flooded last year so they are rebuilding it all. They have 2 other pavilions but they are day use only and you have to be out by 10 PM. Our wedding is going to be in the evening and I don't want to be rushed trying to get everything over with. So I'm waiting for the other pavillion that we can rent for overnight to open back up. They keep telling me dates but so far none of them have been right. I called again last week and they told me hopefully by July 4th. So hopefully I'll be able to actually see everything.

Also another frustration has been getting my fiance involved. No one else in my family has been really involved --- mainly because my sister is getting married in two months so everyone is focused on her and rightfully so but he of all people should be focused on me lol. He's getting better though. He says this is just not a man thing lol.
