Cupcakes
I am planning on making our own cupcakes for the reception..I know a lot of work in the days before the wedding, but I love to bake. We really want unique flavors and so far we have come up with Irish Car Bomb Cupcakes ( Guinness cake, Jameson/chocolate ganache , and Bailey's Frosting) and Banana cake and Peanut Butter Frosting. We would like 2 or 3 more flavors to try out so let me know if you have any ideas. I am going to be testing them all over the next year. Yay for taste tests!!!

Inspiration
My Future Husband and I are planning to do a Country Chic wedding theme. Here is my inspiration board so far..lots of purple!! And I would like to use a lace overlay on the old wooden tables from 1930. I want my bridesmaids to all be in the same color purple but not necessarily the same dress, just cocktail style. Instead of a guestbook we would like to make a wedding memory quilt..we will put fabric squares on all the tables with fabric pens for them to write down what the want on it. Instead of a big wedding cake we are going to have a selection of cupcakes, candied apples, and homemade fruit pies....it is fall and apple season in NY so we are incorporating a lot of apples into our decor. There are a few examples of centerpiece ideas..I want to mix it up a bit, and again picture it with apples around the base and tiger lilies, orange roses and irises. There are a couple ideas for what i would love to have as a dress, however there is still time for that :)

I think I am going to make my own bouquets and boutonnières and corsages and centerpieces using silk flowers. I found what appears to be a good site with a wide range of flowers and styles www.afloral.com. I think what I will do is purchase a sample of each flower so I can see what it looks like that way if I do not like the way the fake flowers look i will not have wasted a lot of money on purchasing the bulk of them all at once. The picture is the idea I have in my head for bridesmaid bouquets, I think mine might have some reds and yellows added to it. Let me know your thoughts...
