This is starr322's Orange Wedding!

So I have 200 and some odd days until the wedding and I am just not your last minute type of gal. I like to get things done but I don't want to seem like I'm rushing. I just feel like if you see it buy it why wait?


I feel like there's so much to do and time will fly by.So far we have booked the venu, I have my dress (veil & tiara), we purchased our rings, we have selected the favors, we have an idea of centerpieces and we're working on booking a photographer. That's about it....

I must sound crazy but there's still so much left to do. What does anyone else think?

I love the peekaboo style shoe especially since my wedding is going to be in the winter I don't want anything strappy and I don't want a closed to shoe so here is a great compromise. I found some very, very cute slingback shoes but the web site I found them on won't let me copy the picture.

I'm hoping that whatever shoes I find provide comfort! My fiancee wants me to wear heels since he is 6'7" and I'm 5'5" so I figured at least for the ceremony and then heels OFF! and flats ON!

Here a few that I like. I'm still not sure which one I like.

We purchased our rings the other day and they are OH SO LOVELY! I'm so excited. My Fiancee got a thick 14k band with diamonds and I have TWO 1/4 carat three stone enhancers (which I will upgrade after the wedding). We got a GREAT deal!!

Although my fiance and I are not having the traditional sit down or buffet style reception we still need to have some type of decor.
So on a few tables that we will have we will place floating candles in square vases along with water and colored rocks/marbles their from Michaels.

So, I saw this idea posted on a few wedding blogs (thanx ladies) I threw out the idea to my Fiance and I don't think he likes it. He's such a penny pincher when it comes to his own $$$$ shhh don't tell'em I said so....but neway. I like the idea and I want our guest to be comfortable and to know we appreciate them coming.

I've been seaching and searching online and there are some pretty creative ways to make these bags inexpensive.

Highlight the local attractions for guests to visit and explore on their own time.

Here are some photos of some rings that my Fiance and I have been looking at. We haven't decided at least not until we go to the stores and see what they're like in person.

Sometimes I think my Fiance thinks it's too soon to do some things but I feel like if we see it, we like it , so we should buy it! LOL

My Fiance and I decided on a cupcake wedding cake. It would add a little something different to our wedding reception and really give our guest something to talk about. We haven't met with a baker as of yet but we're working on it

I love the idea of a wedding canopy. Just a touch of elegance at the ceremony would really nice considering the space that we're working with. I feel that having that and not the typical arch will add to our not so much traditonal wedding.

I'm not sure of the cost of one of these but I really, really would like to have one.

I didn't really want flowers because their expensive and they die. I didn't want to feel like I was wating money but since my H2B has requested that we have flowers here is what I have chosen.

A calla lily bouquet for me and one or two calla lillies for the bridesmaids.

So I did send out the Save-the-dates. I'm excited!

Our first year together was a little rough and bittersweet. We found a couple of weeks into our relationship that we were expecting. God had a different plan for us...we lost our baby boy when I was four months but I still consider myself blessed...I consider us blessed.

The support my husband to be gave to me was imaginable. He was there every step of the way, when the pregnancy became difficult he provided me words of encouragement and strength to get through it. He took care of his responsbility and most of all he took care of me. I love him so much for being there when it would have been easier to walk away.

I know God made this man especially for me and I for him.

If you asked my Hubby to be he'll tell you through a mutual friend. If you ask me I'll probably say the same thing...lol. But it was destany...
We started off as friends in 2005, just some casual connversation nothing major and in late summer 2006 our relationship began to blossom. He invited me to go down to Wildwood, NJ with him and his family for a firefighters convention and I did. From that moment on we were pretty much together. I wanted to wait until he returned from school indefinitely (waiting until he graduated) but we decided that we would work out or long distance relationship. Now here we are almost two years later (til the day we became official). I'm so excited!!!!

I didn't think that we would ever be more than just friends, he was a nice person to hang out with and a true gentleman. But you never know what you'll find especially when you're not looking.
