Out of Town Gift bags
No better way to say Welcome!
So, I saw this idea posted on a few wedding blogs (thanx ladies) I threw out the idea to my Fiance and I don't think he likes it. He's such a penny pincher when it comes to his own $$$$ shhh don't tell'em I said so....but neway. I like the idea and I want our guest to be comfortable and to know we appreciate them coming.
I've been seaching and searching online and there are some pretty creative ways to make these bags inexpensive.
Here are some suugestions I got from blissweddings.com:
LOCAL SOUVENIR T-SHIRTS "I *heart* NY" t-shirts; "Don't Mess with Texas" t-shirts; "LOVE" Philadelphia t-shirts
BOTTLES OF WATER If you can get your hands on un-branded bottles of water, create your own personalized water labels!
MIDNIGHT SNACKS Crackers, cookies, petite cakes, nuts, sunflower seeds, dried fruit mix
WEEKEND ITINERARY A detailed list of the weekend's events is absolutely necessary. Dates, times, maps, locations and phone numbers are key. Event examples: rehearsal dinner, softball games, wedding ceremony and reception, and "day after" brunch.
POINTS OF INTEREST Highlight the local attractions for guests to visit and explore on their own time.
"WELCOME" NOTE Welcome your guest to the locale and thank 'em for using some of their vacation days to share in your big day.
