NEED HELP PICKING MY SHOES!!!
I finally found my dress on a blog. Take a look!

http://www.kriskanblog.com/

The red pair go with my colors - champagne, gold, and red with touches of yellow and orange.

The blue pair - i thought would be cute for my "something blue"

The last pair is the shoes that the bride has on in the blog. Although they don't go with my colors, they don't look bad.

Any advice is really appreciated! Thanks ladies

So excited when I saw this
I found this on project wedding and fell in love. The best news....It is completely affordable. We are getting married at Ss. Peter and Paul Cathedral and are very limited in how we are allowed to decorate the church (no runners, etc). I emailed the pic to the chruch and they said it is fine. I am having curly willow in my centerpieces at the reception so it ties into the wedding. Can't wait!!

French Wedding Cake!
We are going to have 2 "cakes" at our reception
In addition of our wedding cake (see post below), we are also going to bring my French side in at the wedding and serve croquembouche. Crouquembouche is a traditional wedding cake used in France. It is a tower of cream pastries stacked in a tower. The guests will be able to pick btwn a pastry or cake. Whatever is left over will be wrapped in cute boxes for the guests to take a away!!!

FREE Wedding Coloring Book
I found a free DIY Wedding Coloring Book Template
On one of my favorite wedding blogs - Arpil Foster Events - they provided a free template to download for coloring books for the kids at your wedding. I plan on doing this for my wedding. Hope some of you ladies find this useful!!

DIY Wedding Coloring Book Template
Click on the link above to download the coloring book. Depending on your computer’s speed you may have to wait a few minutes for the download link to pop up. When you click download, the coloring book should open in an editable form in Microsoft Word.

The coloring book is formatted to be folded in half. You can bind it by punching two holes in the seem and tying it with ribbon, or you can find a super long stapler and staple it.

Printing instructions:

•Use card stock for all pages (since we are printing front to back)
•Load one page at a time (I know this is a pain in the butt, however, it seems to be the best way.)
•Once the first side of the page as printed turn it over and print the next side. (You will have to run a couple of trial and errors to figure out how your printer works.)

Centerpieces, unity candle, cake server!
Great finds at Homegoods!
I've posted more pictures of my centerpieces (see previous post) which I got from Homegoods. I also bought my unity candle holder from there - all crystal and a total cost of $15. Lastly, I found my cake server. It is red and gold with crystals - perfect for the wedding. Only $8!! I suggest a visit to Homegoods for my fellow WBC brides-to-be!!

Centerpiece
Got a great deal at Homegoods!
I found the perfect centerpieces for my reception. They are from a company called opulent treasures and are available at Homegoods ranging from $10-$50. My mother showed them to my florist and she loves them. We are going to add flowers some how around the centerpieces. I've attached some pictures but will put up more later. I love them....they go perfect with my wedding theme - Champagne, Crystals, and Candles!!!

Got my Photo booth!!!!!
Great Deal!!
I am so excited...I booked my photobooth!!! When searching, I could only find photobooths for $1200-$1500 and that was not in our budget. Finally, after weeks of researching on the internet, I found a local photobooth company that is in our budget ($500-$800)! PLUS, if you book by the end of December 2009 for your 2010 wedding, you get an early bird discount!! They travel to Indianapolis and surrounding counties with no charge BUT they are willing to travel. Also, to help a fellow WBC - if you book them and refer me, I will get some money off my bill! Let me know if you are interested and give me your email address....I will give you the details and send you my name for the reference. Of course, no pressure, but I would really appreciate it!

Unsure exactly what to do...
Our wedding has to be at 2pm because we have to be out of the church by 3:45 pm for 5pm mass on Saturday. We are having a traditional Catholic mass with Mexican wedding traditions. So it is safe to say that our ceremony will be over an hour long.

This is the issue we are dealing with. Our cocktail was going to start at 6pm but that leaves about 2 hours for our guests to have nothing to do. The following was our tentative schedule

2-3:15pm wedding ceremony
3:15-3:45 - family pictures in the church
3:45-6pm free time
6pm-7pm cocktail hour
7pm-8pm dinner
8pm-11pm dancing.

Now my wedding is over the holiday weekend in downtown Indianapolis so there is plenty to do. I was thinking of providing a list of various things our guests could do until cocktail hour.

We were also planning on moving the cocktail hour up to 5pm. Is this still too much time for our guests to wait between the ceremony and the cocktail hour? Also, if we move up the cocktail hour to 5pm, should I have a 2 hour cocktail hour or move dinner up an hour. NOW, if we move up the dinner time, then we have to end our wedding one hour earlier or we keep the same ending time but have to add an hour of services for all of our vendors. Oh, I just don't know what the best option is. Any helpful advice would be very appreciated!!!
