Unity Candle
Crystal Unity Candle
I'm sure as you can all tell by now - my wedding had a crystal (bling) theme. I can't help that I like the glitz! For my unity candle I used three different candle stick holders. Two of them were shorter matching crystal candle stick holders. The third (middle) candle stick holder was larger and more dominant. We also put a cross on the table that had the same crackled mirror look at the vases and candle holders for the centerpieces.

Wedding Invitation
Damask Invitations and Programs
I found the Damask invitations kit at Michaels craft store. My sister-in-law made the programs for me! She is so creative!! I honestly didn't really have much of anything to do with the programs besides help put them together and make the final decisions. It was such a nice relief to have one less thing to worry about. She found the perfect color of paper to match the bridesmaid dresses and created a damask style design - beautiful!

Favors
Damask Candy Buffet
I decided to do a candy buffet for our wedding favors. I found large vases with a damask print etched on them and knew it was what I had to do!! I also got damask candy bags for people to fill full of candy. It was a big hit among the guests. One suggestion I have for people considering a candy buffet - (this is something I'm glad we did) Remember that some of your guests could be diabetic or not like candy so having peanuts or gold fish crackers are a good option for those guests. Surprisingly peanuts were the one thing we ran out of! I guess not everyone has as big of a sweet tooth as me. :)

I knew that I had to have a crystal tree, but I had no idea where to put it. The cake table wasn't an option because the cake was so tall - the candy buffet wouldn't work because the vases would block too much of it. Therefore I decided to have a long table with our engagement pictures in crystal frames and a large picture for people to sign. I think it turned out well!

These were the other centerpieces I had at the wedding. I couldn't make my mind up on what I wanted and I loved all of this stuff - so I made it work whether they were centerpieces, with the food, or on a table with pictures.

Peacock feathers and flowers
Here is one of my centerpieces -
It consisted of a vase with a cracked glass look with a floral arrangement that matched our bouquets. The vases sat on mirrors with tiny crystals sprinkled on them and candles around the mirror. |

Wedding Cake
Damask Crystal Cake
I absolutely loved my cake! One of the first things I found for my wedding was the cake plates. They were silver with crystals hanging down. I knew when I saw them that I had to have them!
I looked at so many different cakes in magazines, online, and at bridal shows. I knew that I wanted crystals, damask, and a mint chocolate cake. Finally, I found it - I knew it was the cake I had to have when I saw it in the magazine! My sister-in-law's aunt made the cake - it was stunning! |

Wedding Flowers
Colorful, crystals, peacock feathers...
I searched and searched for the "perfect" flowers. I even changed my mind at least ten times... I knew two things - I wanted peacock feathers and crystals. We picked out the flowers - pink, purple, blue, white - lilies, roses...
The outcome was beautiful! I couldn't have been happier. Thanks to my mom - she does amazing work!! |
