Wedding Reception - Not doing favors! - STEPHNJUSTIN's Black Wedding by Color Blog

So I have decided on not making wedding favors...I have decided to order these mints and just have them on the tables in a glass bowl and my guest can just have these after dinner. For some reason I just feel that wedding favors are a waste of money. Don't get me wrong brides all your ideas and wedding favors are really nice and are going to turn our good. I had many ideas on what I wanted my favors to look like BUT I just decided on doing this instead I just felt that favors were going to give me a headache!

very nice and a great idea. having them on the tables will still "feel" like favors---to appease those who may say something. I love seeing favors that will be used---edible favors are my favorite. We aren't having the typical favor. We will have OOT bags for all of our guests (everyone is traveling to wedding) and we will have painted wine glasses with personalize charms for each guest (approx 40). Definitely something they can take home and re-use.

I agree that favors are a waste of money. Depending on what they are, most people just throw them away anyway. Even the "useful" stuff isn't that useful. The only favor I've ever actually used it some coasters my mom got from a wedding she went to.

I kind of agree with you. With all the food and stuff going on the wedding it should be good enoght. I will do mints too but just simple plastic mints in the end of the reception.

i think this is a great idea. we're not doing favors either. i consider our personalized water bottles to be kind of a favor. i am definitely going to look into these mints too. thx for posting!
