Wedding Photography
Annoyed by photographer
I am five days away from my wedding. I just booked my photographer after a really big scare when my original photographer bailed out 2 weeks ago. My FMIL is supposed to be paying for the photographer and she informed us that the original photographer had to pull out due to back surgery. The new photographer is a friend of my FH's mom and is doing the wedding last minute as a favor to her. I am finalizing all the details for our big day which included a list of must have shots for the photographer. Well to my surprize I get an e-mail from my FMIL with a message that she forwarded to me from the photographer regarding the list that I sent of shots that I wanted taken. Basically, the photographer goes on a RANToutlining her qualifications and experience and how she has been taking pictures since she was three years old!!! I am sooo pisssed. I thought it was standard for any photographer (amatuer or pro) to get a list of the shots that the bride and groom want taken at their wedding. It did not cross my mind that the photographer would be offended by the list. WAS I WRONG TO SEND HER A LIST OF MUST HAVE PHOTO'S??

countdown
I can't believe we are down to 1 month until my big day! I am really anxious and excited. It's funny b/c I've spent so many months planning and dreaming of this day. It seem surreal that it's so close. Now it's crunch time. I have to stay focused and on task. So much to do so little time ;-) Happy planning and good luck to my fellow WBC brides!

Bachelorette Party
It's ladies night!!
Tonight is my bachelorette party! I am really excited! I really don't know what to expect b/c my bridesmaids have decided to be ultra secretive about it. I plan on just going with the flow. I just reeeeaaaaaaalllllyyyy hope that a stripper is NOT involved! I have seen them at previous bachelorette parties and they can be a bit grabby. I am defintely NOT into that! I told my girls that under no circumstances would that be ok with me. I just want to hang with the ladies and have fun to relieve this wedding stress!

Ask a Question
How much is too much for make up?
How much are you spending on make up for your wedding day? I've contacted 3 different people regarding doing my make up for my wedding day. I've gotten 3 very different quotes. Frankly, this process is confusing. One quote is from a lady who also does photography and if I go with her photography package she charges $60 for my bridesmaids and $80 for me. I got a quote from one of the ladies at the MAC counter and she says she charges $75 for the bridemaids and $100 for the bride. The latest quote that I got was $125 for bridesmaids and $150 for the bride. Also she said she would do a trial makeup run for and additional $50. I think that is way too much. Am I being unreasonable to think make up should be a little cheaper??

Jr Bridesmaids dresses
Any one else having an issue finding appropriate dresses for their Jr bridesmaids? I have 2 girls in the wedding for Jr bridesmaids. Ages 10 (my daughter) and 13 (my niece). Well by the time my wedding rolls around I think my daughter will be in a size 12 and my sis in law says my niece wears a size 1 in juniors or size 16 in girls. I cannot find any dresses(with a decent price tag) that will be age appropriate for both girls. The two pics I posted would have worked perfectly but of course they did not have either dress in both of the girls' sizes. What I've found is that in my daughters size the dresses are in "little girl" styles and in my nieces size in juniors the dresses are a little on the "hoochy" size. I looked for size 16 in girls and those dresses are practically non existent. Any suggestions of website or stores to visit? Thanks ladies.

My FH'sBirthday
Today is my sweetie's 35th Birthday!!! Unfortunately, I didn't get to spend it with him b/c he is on the road. I'm really proud of my man! He is working extra hard to give me the wedding that I want. He has become really involved in the wedding process. He picked out a fabulous new reception site. This one was much better than the one I picked(don't tell him I said that). Hopefully, we will be getting the contract on the place really soon. I sent his mom a note telling her how much I appreciate how she (and his dad) raised him and thanked her for giving birth to the man of my dreams 35 years ago today. I'm a lucky girl!

Change in plans
Back to the drawing board
OMG....Once again the the wedding plan has changed. Our orginal plan included having a private ceremony and public reception in two different cities on two different days. Seems complex, but we were gonna make it work. My FH really wanted to get married in his church in Jacksonville, FL. So I said sure we can do that. We planned on having 25 family members and close friends witness our nuptials and do our reception in Daytona Beach FL b/c that is close to where my family is from. Now my FH says that the original venue that we chose in Daytona is not big enough to accomodate our growing guestlist. It seems his mom has extended an invitation to most of his out of state relatives and they have accepted. So now our guestlist is going to be about 200. The good part about all of this is now that he has stated that we need a larger venue, I can invite more of the people that would have been excluded from our original reception due to limited space. On the bright side, he has agreed to find and book the larger venue. He has been getting a reality check as to what I have been going through since we started planning this wedding. Hopefully he will continue to be an active part in the wedding planning process. I just hope we don't have to make too many changes. I really want to be able to keep my original date. Wish me luck! Hopefully everything works out!!

jewel theme(repost)
I'm reposting this one b/c I really need help!! I didn't get a response the last time and I'm not sure if it is b/c my idea is whack or if I just posted at a bad time. So if anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate it!! Much love ladies. Here is my original post.......... I've been planning my wedding for a while now. But I haven't decided on a theme. A coworker of mine had on some earrings similar to these and I became intrigued. I love the color of the amethyst and my colors are going to include silver but I never thought about including diamonds. Ladies I need help coming up with a theme for my wedding. What do you think about having jewels as a theme? Any ideas of how to include theses jewels in the decor? Thanks.
