I decided to get a little crafty and make boxes to insert tiny notes inviting my bridesmaids to be my bridesmaids!

I bought the wooden boxes from Michaels for super cheap and then sanded them a bit since they were a little rough. I then painted them black and white. After they dried, I printed out some damask patterns and cut them in the shape of the box lids. Then, I used Modge Podge in matte to glue the paper to the box and then painted on another coat of Modge Podge to seal it. Then, I painted a coat of sealant over the entire box and voila! DIY damask box! The lid and box have tiny magnets in them to help secure the two pieces together.

I'm pretty pleased with how they turned out - I had never decoupaged before and was a little nervous about it but it actually looks pretty good and I now I want to decoupage everything!

Any ideas on stuff I could add to them or do you think they look good as is???
