This is stina54's Blue Wedding!

Well a lot has been going on lately. First of all today is my birthday. Im now 25. I think Ill stop here for a couple of years. Next year will be 25 part 2. lol. My 2 best girlfriends are also 25 right there with me. Tanya was 25 on April 17 and Amerleigh will be 25 on May 8. We always celebrate our birthdays together but this year were scattered across the country. Im still in Louisiana where i will stay until my hubby retires from the USAF, Amberleigh is going to college in Virginia, and Tanya is in Atlanta attending Le Cordon Bleu Culinary school. So ive been working on their birthday gifts. I decorated wine boxes and glasses personalized for each girl. My favorite part of the boxes are that i put a poem or saying on it to show what they mean to me. I just havent decided on the wines to send yet. Their glasses ave a 25 on one side, their name on the other side and the base around the stem is all blinged out in rhinestones, as with their names and the 25. I will be sending them soon.

Also good news is that my very best guy friend is now expecting his first baby. And also engaged. But hes not sure yet if its the right thing to do by getting married so they decided to wait until February, after the baby comes. It was important to him that me and his fiancee get along so i volunteered to help with anything she needs me for. So far im doing their wedding glasses, similar to the others i made, but just their names and the rhinestones around the base. I am also going to be making a blanket for their little one. And also he has decided to surprise her with a pair of shoes for the wedding too. Hes going to get her to shoe shop with her mom, her mom is going to let him know the ones she wants, hes going to buy them and send them to me. Then i will be completely blinging them out. Completely covering them in rhinestones. The only bad part about helping them though is that im in louisiana and they live right outside Vegas.

Luckily i found a place online to get bulk rhinestones that are relatively cheap and has free shipping. They arent swarovski crystals, but still have tons of sparkle. And all their crystals are hot fix, so i can use them for pretty much any project i have :)

My cousin is getting married at the end of the month, my brother just bought a new house, my mom has my hubby doing odd projects around her house (putting new laundry room doors up, painting, putting up ceiling fans) my little sister and my hubbys bdays are coming up (on the same day)and its the last month of school before summer break.. Ugh, so much to do.

Sorry i cant post pics of my current projects right now. My laptop stopped working so for now im sharing my hubbys computer and he has no memory card reader. Hes switching out the hard drive and loading all new softwareand hopefully ill have it back soon. Ill try to get some up soon

I think im going to put off plans of renewing my vows. After talking to my little sister earlier, I think i want to plan a vow renewal for my mom and stepdad. My sister Sarah will be 15 this year, so that means its their 15th anniversary sometime next summer. They didnt have much of a wedding. We went to Colorado during the summer, like they still do every year, and they got married in the courthouse there. The only people there were me, Sarah, and my brother Jason. And of course the judge and 2 office workers who were their witnesses. All they have to remember of it are the 3 pictures that i took.

So i thought earlier, what a way to honor my parents. (Ive just got to find a way to let my dad know without hurting his feelings that i want to do this for my mom, not for him and his wife) I was thinking that Jason, me, and Sarah could host it. We could possibly have it at my brothers house since his is bigger than mine. And with a year to plan, we could make it so nice for them. My mom is very close with her two sisters and im sure they would love to help. And since my mom is possibly the last person on earth without a facebook, we can even update everyone on plans.

The more i think about it the more im loving the idea. And Mom and John definately deserve it

Im thinking about my bouquet and the only thing ive decided is that i definately want fake flowers and i want blue hydrangeas. I think theyre gorgeous, and they make me think of my grandmothers house. I think white roses would be a beautiful addition.

The only thing i would change about my fav idea is that i would remove the lilies. The stems i will probably wrap in royal blue ribbon and then wrap either pearls or rhinestones around, that just depends on what dress i end up with

I finally decided how i want to make my invites.

I will be using a standard white invite with a pearl border. But i will be trimming off the extra white around the edges so that it stops at the pearl color. Then ill be putting a piece of royal blue cardstock behind that and adhering them together. Around the top i will wrap silver satin ribbon and layer a royal blue glittery ribbon. Then i will put a small square or circle (havent decided which yet) with a G in the center for our last name.

I bought most of the cardstock and ribbons yesterday. Michaels is having a great sale this week. Cardstock is 6 for $1, and most ribbons are 50% off with a coupon for an extra 15% off of the sale price. Great deal

I have already married the love of my life, who is everything i never knew i wanted. We got married after only 3 months. We found out i was pregnant and he as adamant that he wanted to marry me. I said yes, of course. I told him we could either get married soon, when i was still able to fit into a dress without showing, or he could wait unti lafter the baby came and he chose before. So we decided to go to a justice of the peace. My parents told us no. They wanted us to have a day to remember. So we threw everthing together in about 2 weeks. I knew it wouldnt be the wedding i always dreamed of so i left most of the decision making to my mom and my aunt, who was generous enough to let us get married at her house and do most of the decorating. My husbands parents came in from Wisconsin the weekend we got married and met me and my family for the first time. The day of our wedding passed in much of a blur. We got dressed, said our vows (Today i cant even remember what was said) we kissed, ate some good food, visited for a bit and it was over. We spent the night in a hotel room then the next morning it was back to real life.

I am still determined to have the wedding of my dreams, just with one difference. Instead of marrying for the first time, it will be a vow renewal ceremony. Will is not sold on the idea though. So i am going to make all the plans, do most of it myself little by little, and then we will have our ceremony. Not many plans have been made as of yet
