So, my last post, I was telling you about how my family and I were working on my invitations. I even took some pics so you could see the progress! Well, I am super close to being finished.
Like I said before, I had promised my friends and a couple members of my family supper last night. Then after supper we started working on the invitations. Boy, was that a LONG process!
When we worked on the invitations Friday Night, I had a total of 4 people helping me for two hours and then I worked on the invitations a total of 3 hours after that! Then last night, I had 6 other people helping out of invitations. We started at 8 and didn't stop until 3:00 a.m.!!!! It seemed to take a while.
I'm very lucky to have the help with invitations! If i did them all myself, it probably would have taken me about 30 hours, seriously! So, I really lucked out with these!
Don't get me wrong, I loved the helped, but some of the help didn't have the same vision as me! I figured if I am going to spend X amount of money then I would really like them to be nice and something that will not easily fall apart. So, at first when we started, they were giving me a hard time about how "perfect" the invitations had to be! Seriously! I just wanted them to look really nice and I didn't want the guests to think that they were junk! I guess after that little bump in the road, it was pretty much smooth sailing from there:)
Again, last night, we had made an assembly line, and each person had their own job. It was going really well after I had explained my vision to everyone and showed them how to do each step. My dad setup this great way of being able to easily and quickly fold the invitations into a tri-fold which was wonderful! My dad and uncle helped me figure out a quicker way to make my ribbon with the monograms that saved me a TON of time!!!
All I need to do yet to the invitations themselves, is add the RSVP card and get the envelopes finished(possibly accomadations card - last minute decision).
Did any of you girls include an accomadations card or info on your invitations? What do you think of my invitations?
With accomodation suggestions, we did a free website with www.ewedding.com and put it all on there. Then included a little slip with our website address on it for everyone to look up.
I have an info card included advising guest to go to our website to get accommodation information.
I listed our wedding wedbsite also and said to visit our site for accomdations, but some of my family members was questioning that....I would think most people would have internet or know someone who has internet that would be attending. Thanks for your suggestion!
browncurls and glamdivabride - Thanks for the compliments!
