Homemade Veil! Please help! Need your honest opinion...

This past weekend, since I had my bridal shower, my FH mom came to it and she brought a homemade veil. She had one of the seamstresses from my FH hometown make it. I picked out the toole and found some beads to put on it. That's all that I wanted was just the toole and the beads, just something simple and nothing over top. I also wanted scallops.

That's what I told the seamstress and she didn't listen! She put ribbon around the scallops of my veil. Well, she ended up putting ribbon around it. I don't know what to think of it. I feel bad if I don't use it because my FH mom bought it for me! So, I'm in quite the picklel! I don't think it's too bad....what do you think? Please tell me the truth of what you think of it.. I appreciate your feedback!

Sorry for the poor quality of the pictures...bad lighting!

I like the edging, very pretty.

I think it's quite lovely, but if you think the edging is too much with your dress, you could always just snip it off. The tulle won't fray or anything, and just add a few beads with a needle and thread, or even those tiny iron on rhinestones, for a bit of sparkle.

It looks fine, just wear it during the ceremony. Then take it off right after, don't even use it for pictures.  Just as long as they see it. They will be fine.

I think it is very pretty. I actually think it looks much nicer with both the beads and the ribbon and I agree, as long as it looks ok with your dress, wear it at the ceremony, but take it off right after!!

Hearing everyone's opinions makes me feel much better about it!  Thanks for all of your input!  I seriously thinking about just taking the veil out for when we have pictures!  That's such a great idea!  What would I do without you girls?
