On Monday morning, I got a call from my FH from work and usually he doesn't call me from work. So, I thought that was a little strange! I started talking with him and he told me that he recieved an email from one of the groomsman that moved out of the state. To give you a little background on this particular groomsman, my FH has been trying to get ahold of him on the phone, but he hasn't returned my FH calls. My FH has also been trying to contact him through email and IM through his work IM. He finally got to talk to him last week and just asked him if he got to get sized for his tux yet. The groomsman said no, but he was going to this weekend, so it was no biggie.
Then on Monday, FH got an email from him saying that he can't make it because his Ex-wife is having a custody battle over her kids, not his! The court time was 3:10 on Friday and he didn't know if he could make it for Saturday for our wedding because they might have to have another meeting then...... Who really tells you this through email????? It was soo rude and less than a month before our wedding really? If he didn't want to be in the wedding then why not just tell us sooner? I just can't believe that he backed out because he didn't seem like that type of guy..... i guess what can you do? The thing that stinks the most is we already bought gifts for the guys $60 personalized mugs! Well, we just lost $60 because he backed out.
The good thing about this whole situation is that we have already found some awesome friend of ours to fill in!!! Also, it's better to have someone who actually wants to be there versus someone who would rather not! I'm just kinda sad because my FH and this groomsman who backed out were really good friends when he lived in Iowa! I feel for my FH!
Sorry for the vent just had to get it out because it is super annoying and getting down to the end!
