Ask a Question
What does your weekend time line look like?

I've been so focused on the ceremony and reception details that I haven't given too much thought to rehearsal/dinner, welcome party or gift opening/send off...

What do you girls have planned?

My step mom was asking me at Easter dinner last night if I had thought about that and let me know that I was welcome to plan those at the farm (where the ceremony is taking place) as well..

We figured it would be easy as we'll already have the borrowed chairs out there so we can just keep them there for the weekend that way we don't have to rent another place, or tell guests to bring their own chairs.

How are you guys going about all this? Are you having the traditional opening of gifts for guests in the morning??

Anyone have their timeline all figured out already?

I need to get to work on this and would love love any input! I really want to have a memorable wedding for our guests and in order for that I really need to get on the organizing of the little details like that!!!

For those gals who are providing a time line are you including these in OOT bags or right in with your invite??

Does anyone know of any good map builders that I can print off?

Sorry for all the questions, but I really appreciate your answers!!!

WeddingMapper.com (the best map website)

Timeline: (In a nutshell)

Friday Night: "Welcome Cocktail Party" (in lieu of rehearsal dinner)
All guests are invited to this. We are having a casual get together at our clubhouse so guests can come have welcome drinks and appetizers, mingle and come and go as they please

Saturday Morning (Early) Bridal party pics and ceremony rehearsal
Wedding starts at 11:30am ends at 5:30pm

Saturday Night: After the wedding FH and I are going into Manhattan and staying at a nice hotel, having a late lite dinner, relaxing and then leaving the next morning for our honeymoon

Sunday Morning: Family brunch for out of towners (my mom planned this) and we won't be there- we wanted to enjoy being newlyweds alone and leave right away for our honeymoon so all gifts/cards are being given to his mom to be put into our safe and we will open everything when we return

We are putting our "weekend schedule" on our website and having a separate card insert into our invites inviting ppl to the welcome cocktail party My mom took care of the brunch with separate invites to family members only
