Drink Tickets and Photo Tickets
So we have decided that we will pay for two alcoholic drinks for each of our guests at the wedding. In our area, it's not common to have a completely open bar, as it is in other areas, so I think this is a good happy medium. I made the cute tickets shown at left to give my guests... and a few extra for the wedding party!
I also want to try to get a central database for all of the digital photos that my friends/family take at the wedding. So I made this business cards asking everyone to upload their photos to the same place, in a folder with their name on it. The back of the card has directions and the website with the user-name and password. I hope it works out as expected!! :) Oh and my seating card idea is going to come together as I originally expected (I had already expected to resort to plan B, but back to plan A!) I'll show you what i've found to help me out... I'm so excited!!!!! :) We also decided on and booked our rehearsal dinner (finally!!). There will likely be about 25 of us.... so I'm glad that is all done! :) |

I got it!! And I found it at Dress Barn (not exactly expected) but it's so much prettier and a bit fancier in person because the flowers have sequins on them that makes it sparkle. Plus the black sheer part is iridescent... so like I said you just have to see it in person! :)

Well I've gotten a lot done in the last week - this whole working thing has actually made me work on the wedding more!! I've got the drink cards done (see photo at side) and I've got the bathroom baskets done! I also ordered the big part of my bridesmaid gifts! **edited because I just remembered that some of my bridesmaids read this blog! I have to keep SOME THINGS a secret. ;-)

I got this great idea from a book my mom bought me. It's called the DIY Bride by Khris Cockran. It's a perfect book for me! They gave directions to make these pew cones! All you need to make the cone is embossed wall paper, spray paint and a hot glue gun. SO EASY! I boght a roll of raised wall paper at Lowe's - it was on clearance for $3.50 and had 90 feet! Each cone is 9" x 9", rolled to a cone and hot glue gunned. Then you spray with a mettalic spray (I chose silver) and voila! You could put real or fake flowers in the cones, I'm going to be using some fall leaves/feathers/pine cones like the photo and also some yellow and red sunflowers. They were so easy and so pretty!

I got them!
I finally found my wedding shoes! They are exactly what I was looking for - they are sparkly, they are flats and they are BLUE! which was the most important part. They are totally my something blue - I wanted shoes that pop and since it'll be October in New Hampshire, it might be cold, so I opted for closed toe shoes. I might switch to flip flops at the reception to show off my pedicure. hehe. :) They are from Aldo, got them at the mall last week for $45! YAY!

Wow, i just saw on my side-bar that I'm only 38 days away from the wedding YAY! I'm just so excited. :) Today I finished up almost all of my favors. I'm doing chocolate dipped pretzels with red/yellow drizzles on them and some have fall leaf shaped sprinkles. See a few photos on the side!
This idea came from my friend Tracy and I helped her pull it off for her wedding. I was against favors for my wedding, thinking they are expensive and get thrown away or hardly even noticed. But then when I realized how easy, inexpensive and beautiful these were, I decided to do them also! I made 150 for $92 - thats about $0.61 per person!!! |

So we're only 50 days from the wedding and I'm freaking out a bit that we don't have two big things done - 1) the Honeymoon and 2) we don't have wedding bands. I'm calling a travel agent tomorrow to discuss the honeymoon - we're hoping we can still make it to a cruise in the Carribbean.... we'll see!! And I saw these pretty rings on HSN today. I wouldn't buy it from there (I don't think they're real diamonds!!) but I like the look of the dual bands! so pretty!!! I definitely want something a little less traditional - I don't need diamonds I'd really like something woven.... so we'll see what i can find.... 50 days! 50 Days!!! UHHHHH

Ahhh 52 days to the wedding~
Well - the good news is that all the invitations are in the mail!! YAYA! I wanted to attach an 'official' photo of the finished product! Yaya! I feel so accomplished - and now it's wedding mode 24/7 BIG TIMe. Time to work on favors and decorations and all that good jazz!!

Well, as you can see from an earlier post I have my invitation all decided, and I've been working on them piece by piece. I've decided they need to be in the mail by August 7th - thats my goal at least! And Now I'm about 75% done - maybe even more! All my paper is cut, the 5x7 cards are printed and stamped, the timeline card is designed and I need to print that, design and print the response cards and direction cards and then address the envelopes and get them out! I'm getting very close. :)

Well, It's been a while since I updated and I'm so over-due! We are almost at the two month mark and I've picked up more goodies here and there. My Fiance is starting to LOVE yard sales (even though he doesn't go) because he sees that I can get things for 50 cents instead of $10! Wooohooo! My most recent find was this week, at a thrift shop. I found my flower girl basket! It's heart shaped and has little heart shaped jewels hanging from the basket. It's perfect and only 50 cents!
I also purchased these ADORABLE personalized leaves for table decoration. I'm not sure if they'll stay on the guest book table, or just the sweetheart table or each of the guests tables, but I have 200 of these little guys. Thats only about 10/table so I might have to get another bag of them..... we'll see. Shipping was super fast from Favorfavor.com! |
