Back from our honeymoon!
Hey everyone!
We are back from our honeymoon and we had a blast! Now its back to reality...aka WORK:( If anyone is considering a honeymoon cruise, I highly recommend it--we had sooo much fun and saw so many great sights. One of the highlights of our trip was going to the Mayan ruins in the ancient city of Tulum, Mexico......AMAZING! The best part of the Cayman Islands was the Seven Mile Beach---the water is the most beautiful shade of turquiose I have ever seen! Jamaica was a huge party for us at Margaritaville and the jerk chicken was to die for! |

Bon Voyage
Leaving for our honeymoon!!!!
Bon Voyage WBC brides! The hubby and I are off to our honeymoon. We are cruising to Jamaica, Cayman Islands & Cozumel!!! I have been so sick lately so hopefully the ocean air and sunshine will make me all better! I'll be back in a week with pics!

I'm back!..and Married!

Hey everyone, I'm back from our wedding!
I feel sooo amazing right now. After all the planning and stress, our day finally came and it was absolutely beautiful! I can not believe how smooth things went for us. The east coast was hit with crazy storms and power outages, but we were lucky--only a few light showers in the morning but the temperature was great for Pennsylvania! The one thing that I must say is that I stressed myself out way too much about DIY projects and the "little details". But in the end, I didnt even pay attention to much of our ceremony decor--I could not take my eyes off my handsome groom. Oh, and he cried as soon as he saw me...I knew he would. I have non-pro pics from some of our guests and our pro pics will be ready in about 2 weeks. I'll be posting like crazy this week--I have sooo much to share. We leave for our honeymoon next week and boy do we need it! Getting married is hard work :) |

Signing off...
Leaving for our destination wedding
Hi Everyone!
Fi and I leave tomorrow morning for our wedding so this is most likely my last post until after the wedding. We get our marriage license 1st thing Monday morning! Im sooo excited its finally here--6 days to go. I still have some small DIY projects to assemble once we arrive--I'll be sure to post pics when completed. I also let my dress go....Fedex is overnighting it for me! GASP!!, I know, I know. It was hard letting go, but it was for the best. The airline made me feel really uneasy about bringing it aboard a 'tiny' plane and not having room, so I decided to ship it. Its packaged really good and its insured. Fedex will be holding it for pickup, so as soon as we get off the plane Im headed straight there to pick it up. Thank you everyone for the great ideas and advice! My day is finally here! I'll be sure to check back in with pics as Mrs.Elliott! YAY! |

I finally stopped slacking and got to work; I finished our menu cards and made a mock up of our table signs. I will have to finish the table signs once we arrive since we are getting married back home. I used Precious stones for our table names.

New beauty fave..Loreal studio secrets!!!
Okay...so I am always on the lookout for new beauty products, especially products that work for oily skin. The primer I have been using is Pop beauty's face magnet--its amazing, but its around $30 and im always looking for something new. However I have been hearing buzz about Loreal's new magic perfecting primer so I tried it. This stuff is great! Granted I have only used it for 2 days, it has been working for me. The 1st day I wore it w/o any makeup and my skin just looked amazing. Today I applied it under my makeup and skin still looks great. I have very oily skin and this stuff has kept my face matte all day and minimizes my pores. The down side (IMO), is that it comes in a tiny jar for $12.99 at drugstores, so im not sure how long it will last. So if anyone is looking for a new primer--check it out.

Mini vent/Question-NWR
How much do you share with your co-workers?
Question.....How much about your personal life do you share with your co-workers? And by co workers, I mean people you work with that are not your friends outside of work? The reason I ask is because a coworker of mine has mentioned many times that I am too private and that I never tell them anything! Yes--I am private compared to the things other people share at work, but I dont feel its necessary to tell them everything that goes on at home. I just feel there is a time and place for everything and I choose not to report my every move to people I work with. Example---In my office, it is normal and expected for people to tell everyone when they are trying to get pregnant or even when they will try. I was asked this question and I kindly told them that I would tell them when I was pregant, but not when we were trying. I just think its weird to have people at work ask me if im pregnant yet everytime they see me. They even expect me to share my sex life in detail with them...which is a no-no in my book.
BTW, im not preggo or trying yet but this question has been asked several times. So how much do you share at work? And yes, I do see the irony in this question since this is a blog; But I dont mind sharing with my fellow WBC brides :) |
