....and going full force into planning mode!!!!

***WARNING!!! LONG POST ALERT!!!

I am so happy!!! After being SUPER stressed and losing hope, I finally found a caterer and she is affordable and has assured me that she will be able to successfully execute my "Upscale Southern/Soulfood" menu! This makes my heart smile!

You have no idea how hard it has been to explain to a "soulfood caterer" that i dont want bones in the chicken breast that is served at my reception, lol or explaining to a "non-soulfood caterer" how to make smothered chicken, LMAO!!! I found a caterer that can do it ALL !!! So as you can see im as happy as a piglet in slop!

Also, in an earlier post i stated that my FH and i were living with his Mom and Grandmother in order to save for the wedding. Well, we were supposed to be moving out next month, however FH and I decided it would be best to wait a few more months so that we can have everything for the wedding paid off and will have no budgeting issues as the wedding gets closer. My FMIL is errking my last nerve, but if i have to stay with her little longer to make sure our wedding is paid for, i have no issue. Its a small sacrafice with huge end reward!

Next Month we go for our tasting and to give the caterer our first deposit. In April we will pay the full amount for the reception and possibly ceremony venue(as they dont take deposits, you have to pay all or nothing lol). And then on to dress shopping, YAY!!

With just a little over a year to go, im feeling really good about everything! God is so awesome!

awww that's the spirit hunni! you are on a roll and that is great news especially about your caterer cause i know that was a big issue but thank God you found someone who can deliver exactly what you want :) happy planning and a big whooooo hoooo to the progress and ball rolling :) xox

YAY, that is so good. I am so happy for you. I'm glad you found your affordable southern food caterer. Please let us know how the tasting goes. No stress on that now!

It is a small sacrifice...just think about your wedding being paid off every time she she starts to get on your nerves :-)

All 3 of your weddings are coming up soon, its bitter sweet because im so excited for you but im afraid to lose you :-). This cyber sisterhood still amazes me.

@Kayla I will definitely keep you guys abreast of the whole process and update you after the tasting. And thankyou for the encouragement in regards to FMIL, it will definitely help during these upcoming months.

Aww, yay!! I am so glad to hear this!! I know you were so worried about the caterer, and them understanding what you wanted!!! And it will def be worth it to have your wedding paid off, congrats!!! And hang in there with the MIL. :)

Hi Sweetestaboo, I just join this website and I love all your posts. We have a very strict budget too and I would love to hear about your caterer... how the food tasting went...
