Wedding Cake
Finally booked........
We finally booked the cake. Thanks to everyones responses :) we got two flavors. The bottom tier is Strawberry Shortcake and the middle and top tier are chocolate with fresh banana. Unfortunately our cute little Precious Moment cake topper got demoted to a cake table decoration, lol.

Different Flavors - BAD IDEA?????
I would like to do different flavors for different tiers of my cake. Speaking with my MOH yesterday she thinks it's a bad idea and that the whole cake should be the same flavor. I think selection is good. What does everyone think?

Uneven bridal party
So we have an uneven bridal party. There are 4 bridesmaids and 5 groomsmen. We were thinking of having the best man at the altar already with the groom , and having a group of three at the end of the wedding. Any other ideas?

Going with the black & white theme we found these little boxes at Party Packagers. There are a lot of websites that sell them and even one invitation place we visited sold them, but they were sooo expensive from there.
We're going to fill them with candies in organza bags and place one on each place setting - alternating bride/groom. |

We went for the 14 passenger Ford Excursion limo. If you live in the GTA go to acelebritylimousine.com - their prices are excellent. If your wedding is in the "off season" the prices are unbeatable.

Has anyone tried these DIY invitations???
These are available at Michael's and Staples, etc. There's a whole line of DIY invitations from the makers of BRIDES magazine. Has anyone tried them??? I'm not sure how difficult the printing would be.

Wedding Cake
We're meeting with the bakery and choosing our flavors next weekend. It will most likely be a four-tier white cake with light pink rose embellishments. Very similar to the picture. We're doing different flavors per tier, most likely chocolate banana / strawberry shortcake / and lemon.

I'm pretty sure I want to wear my hair up - probably something similar to this picture. A textured bun at the crown of the head - my veil is very full and I'll probably wear it above the bun and take it off shortly after the reception starts.

My bouquet will be champagne roses, the stems wrapped in white silk with a row of black fabric buttons.
The bridesmaids will have a similar bouquet but with antique pink roses as well, stems also wrapped in white with white fabric buttons. |

Black Sleeveless
The bridesmaids dresses are black sleeveless dresses. I though tfloor length dresses would be fitting because it's November. I don't want everything to look too dark so their bouquets will be light. Most likely champagne & light pink roses.
