This is taaka25's Pink Wedding!

i decided to boot my sister as my MOH today. its dissapointing that it had to come to this, but i feel i have no choice. she has been unsupportive, negative and unavailable since day one! all she has done is complain about having to wear a dress or go on a diet (i didnt ask her too, she just gained a bunch of weight over the winter) the only thing she did as a MOH dutie was go to a Bridal Show and dress shopping. thats it, but never missed a chance to call me bridezilla or princess.

a few weeks ago, i asked my mother to talk to her for me. i asked to to tell her that she needed to buck up and start acting like a supportive, loving sister or i'm going to replace her. instead, my mom made apologies for me being upset at her comments and negativety, and that she should have patience with me.

so i took it upon myself to try to hash it out with her, she said, "suck it up, too bad" if i didnt like her comments, they were just jokes. she was instantly arguementative and defensive and i never got much across. so a few days later, when all settled, i told her i didnt want to hear the comments anymore b/c it was my day and i wasnt going to let her ruin it for me and that she needed to start acting right, or i will replace her. she said, "you never tell me what to do. i dont know."

i explained to her that there are a million+1 websites that are full of all the info she needed. i even went as far as sending her links to said sites and even typing up all of her responsibilities and the dates of fittings, shower, bach bash, ect, attire needs, bridal shower party games, bridal shower invites (already addressed) and hand delivered to her.

a week later, she keeps texting me that she is bored, i said we can fill in the shower invites if you want. she comes over and soon i realize that she has done nothing! first, she wants to change the date i chose to the day after my finals and day before my b.day, then she tells me that either we have it at my house (and i do all the cleaning and preparing) or we have it at a resturaunt and i will have to help pay or ppl can pay for their own meals. OMG! have you ever heard of something sooo tacky in your life!??

then because i shoot down all of those possibilities (politely), she says that i cant make up my mind! finally i could take no more. i stood up and declared, "i'm not planning a bridal shower, you are! i'm planning a wedding!" and left the room, and she is mad at me for "yelling" at her.

tackiness aside, its obvious she hasnt read anything i have given her nor does she really care about being apart of this. i really didnt know there were girls out there sooo evil.

so i told my mom today that i've decided that she's out, not because i dont trust her not to ruin my day ( new she would 6 months ago when i asked her), but really, i dont want to look at my wedding photos and think about this dissapointment and negativety. my mom says i should just wait for her to apologize. i'm not going to beg that bitch to be my MOH.

am i wrong? isnt it my day?

just gotta get thru today and tomorrow, and then its all over (the holidays) and its time to relax and coast into 2011. ... lol then its time to kick it into high gear and get to wedding planning again. :)

ok, here is another one, i read in a book that you are supposed to change your last name before the wedding, i guess to make things easier.. idk. but here's my thing- if i go out of the country, i'll have to get a passport and i would want it to say my new name, because i'll have it for the next 7 years and it will be stamped.

so what do yall think? is it bad luck to change your name before the honeymoon? or is it worth it to have your new name on the passport? and what are all of yall who are going out of the country doing?

so what re all of yall doing for your honeymoons? i was thinking jamaica.. or maybe a cruise.. idk
