my personal advice....
I can honestly say our wedding day was the best day of my life and better than ever imagined it to be.... We had a blast with our friends and family!!! I spent so much time and energy on creating decoration and little details the weeks and months before the big day that were not necessary at all.... i was mad i left the inicial letters at home that no one used the bubbles when we walked out of church and lots of other little things that were forgotten....but you know what no one recogniced there was anything missing because we all had a great time.... my advice is make sure there`s good food, good music, that all your loved ones are there, that u and the hubby will look perfect and that`s all that matters!!! Take lots of pictures and enjoy your day, because that`s what u will remember, not the special lil decorations around.... Our DJ left because it was raining and no one came out to give him instructions where to put his stuff up, but my guests fixed that problem thanks to their mp3 players and we had great music all night... my dad had to drive back home right before church started because I left my flowers at home we made it in church with flowers....I spent so much time and effort writing my own vows but in the very moment I couldn`t say a word other than whispering I LOVE YOU in my hubbies ear.....we found out 2 days before the wedding that the kids suits got delivered in the wrong size and actually had to run and get new ones for them a day before the wedding we only had about 15 minutes to take our portraits before it started raining like crazy....u just can`t plan the weather...lol all those little things and many more went wrong - but it didn`t matter because like I said we had a great time and I wouldn`t wanted it any different...those things are to remember :)

Dress for the courthouse!!!

In Germany you have to get married at the courthouse before you can have a wedding at church....(pretty much so your marriege is legal) I don`t wanna make any big thing out of that but still wanna look nice.... that`s the dress I just ordered for that day :) What do you think ladies????
The best about it is that it only cost me 35 EUROs :) |

Does anyone have an extra dress for the reception?????
My friend just asked me if I already have something nice to wear for later at the reception when my dress is starting to get uncomfortable..... I haven`t spend one thought on that yet.....somehow I feel like this is my ones-in-a-lifetime day to wear my weddingdress (which wasn`t cheap)....shouldn`t I be wearing the dress till the very last minute of the day/night???????? I agree that it will probably get a lil uncomfortable at some point....but still shouldn`t the bride stay a bride for the whole party???
What are u doing??? Please share your plans and thoughts with me :) |

gotta be strong with all the BS the ARMY comes along with.....
My FH is currently in Iraq and was supposed to be back by the latest of the 10th of July. Well, the main body of his unit will be...but now they put him on the list of soldiers that have to stay 2-3 weeks longer than everyone else....This is soooooo frustrating right now...I was already on my final countdown for the last days of this long long year he has been gone.....and now the countdown just got reset.... I should have known though...there`s always something with the ARMY... Never feel save and always HOPE THE BEST,BUT DEFENETLY EXPECT THE WORSE!!!!! Well, 2-3 weeks won`t really make a difference, BUT we are in the middle of this wedding planning and we kinda still have a lot to do!!! He doesn`t even have a suit yet!!!!!!!
grhhhhhhhhhhhh I`m a lil frustrated right now.... and sad me & the kids have to wait even longer until we have him back.... but I guess we all just gonna have to be strong a lil longer... I just miss him soooooooooooooo much!!!! |

How do you like this suit for our Boys????
Well, we have been strugleing with what my FH is going to wear since he`s currently deployed in Iraq until 6 weeks before the wedding. That`s why we won`t know what he will wear exactly until he gets back here...because I don`t think he should order his wedding suit online, he should really take the time and see what fits him best....the ideas are around brown, cognac, ivory earthtone colors....we will see lol anyways the braidsmaid and groomsmen will be in fern green so they will defenetly go with earthtone colors....I would already like to get suits for my boys now, so it`s off the long to do list..... Those are the ones I really like....
Do u think they fit in the fern green and chocolate brown????????? |

DOES ANYONE WRITE THEIR OWN VOWS?????????????
Okay, I`m German and over here we don`t do our own vows....but my FH is American, so we will mix the wedding ceremony customs a little bit to get the best of both worlds ;)
I asked him if we are going to do our own vows and he said: For sure we will that`s tradition.....I like the idea a lot, but it will be already hard to find the right words writing them down..........how will it be at the ceremony.....I`m a very emotional person and I can already see myself having to hold the tears back from the first moment I step in this church....lol so what could i write that way it`s quick and i don`t break down crying before i didn`t even finished the first sentence, but still sounds nice and means a lot?????????? please ladies help me out with some ideas and suggestions here.....(no i`m not asking you to write my vows here lol i wanna do them on my own just some ideas & inspirations how to keep them short but deep) WHAT DO U GUYS DO????? |

DIY Wedding
My pretty, pretty cardbox :)
Inspired through all of your DIY projects, I decided to try to make a cardbox myself, too. Actually I was going to get an old birdcage and decorate it, but somehow I`ve got stuck on the cardboxes now.....lol
And I`m very proud how mines turned out, actually I love it!!!!!!!!!!! And I only spent about 12 EUROs on all the Material :) 10 EURO on the boxes which came with the flowers & ribbons on top already (I just took some off and placed them somewhere else) and 2 Euros for the mirrow letters.... I put the W on the ribbon because that will be our lastname inicial :) I was going to put an T and an A on the bottom box front for our first name inicials but I`m not sure yet.... .let me know what u think!!!!!!! BTW it`s not black and white as it looks on the picture....it`s actualy ivory & black |

They will be like beautiful little brides...
I ordered my flower girl`s dress a few months ago on pinkmarie.com ... You can find some very cute dresses for very less money on there. I love these dresses and they only cost me 38$ for each.... they are ivory just like my dress and match perfect with the fern braidsmaids.... the dresses also came with a wrap in ivory chiffon.
