Love my Lineman

Hello Ladies! I have been gone and not even thinking about a wedding. I bought a new house, got a new job and survived the Holidays and never really did anything wedding wise.

I had told my FH that if he didn't have a job, we weren't getting married. I guess in the "just in case" I never planned anything.

Good news, he really does love me and is smoking his Lineman College. He will graduate in April and things are looking good for him to have one of those wonderous things called a J-O-B!!! :)

Because of my mini little mansion I bought (foreclosure and it's awesome!) I am now house broke and cannot affort the great resort wedding I had so hoped for. Any guesses to where the event is being held? Yup.....my backyard!!

Long story said, short story----it's time to start planning!

These aren't all the colors of my wedding, but I think there are such cute ideas...and I do have orange. My last post is so depressing that I needed something bright and happy. It cheers me right up!!

Wedding Cake

Need cake topper advice.....

So my wedding is a fall-outdoor theme.....BUT....I want to add a little of our story somewhere.

I met my FH when I bought my Harley from him. Total fairytale for me because, just like we all dream about, he said I walked into the store and he knew that he HAD to meet me. I treated him like a typical-Male-flirty-salesman and didn't really want to bother. Long story short, he rode my new bike over and I knew I was in trouble. As my little Brother puts it...."He came to drop off the bike and just never left!" (NOTE: I got really sick right after all that and he kept coming over to take care of me.....I was sooo ugly too, but it didn't scare him away.)

So, since that is how we met, I would like to put that somewhere into our wedding and I thought the best way would be with a cake topper.

Will it clash though......fall colors, outdoor wedding......with a Harley sitting on the cake???

Next question......I like the funny cake toppers, but the first picture looks like I am keeping him from riding when that is totally opposite. I wish I could find one where the groom is handing the bride the keys because THAT IS WHAT REALLY HAPPENED. :)

Fall colors to match our surrounding in the Mountains (Brown, orange, green, burgundy). Girls will wear brown, Groom will wear a very pretty burnt orange, flower girl (my soon to be step-daughter who will be 3 by then) will match Daddy and I will hide a little orange on me to match them.
