This time I really did find my shoes
For those of you that don't know yet, I've been on a crazy hunt for the perfect shoes to go with my wedding dress.
First I bought a pair of hot pink Christina Louboutins that I adore but they didn't go with my dress. They were just to cool and my dress is warm and I'm very picky like that.
Next, I thought I would just get something really simple so I bough a pair of Nina satin shoes with a low heel. They were super cute but nothing special and I was ok with that.
As soon as I showed them to my family and friends everyone hated them. They said they weren't me at all. They all said that everyone is expecting me to have fabulous shoes on my wedding day and those didn't cut it.

So on a walk through the fashion district in my city called Osborne Village I found THE SHOES!
My search has ended. They are comfy, gold and fabulous at the same time.
They are from the Jeffrey Campbell collection and are to die for.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THEM!!!!

Bridesmaids
2 gifts down and a few more to go
So I ordered the purses for my girls and I ordered 5 ivory pashimas for them aswell. The dresses are a light pink so I thought that ivory would be pretty. I plan on embroidering there initals on the corner awell to personalize them a bit more. I thought it was a cute idea. It's still a bit chilly here in May so they can stay warm and look fashionable aswell.

Now all I need are earrings, (planning on waiting for Xmas jewelry to come out and find it there), a gift bag that they can reuse, (gonna check on line for that) and some nail polish, gum, hairspray, and tissues. My idea of a survial guide.

Only 6 months away!
Getting worried girls.
I just realized that the wedding is only 6 months away and I'm starting to get nrevous. There seems like there is so much to do and so little time. My only worry is tha the month of December is a given because everyone is always too busy to do anything in that month.
Aswell, my parents are going to Portugal for the months of Feb and March and will be back by the end of March for my shower so I'm stressing that my mom won't be here to help me out when I need her. Don't get me wrong I have my MOH who is my sister but she is so disorganized that it worries me.

I'll keep you all posted.

Bought there purses today.
So I found this buyer on Etsy that has great purses so I bought my BM's bags on her site. She custom made them for me and I should get them in about 2 weeks. Can't wait.

Best weight loss secret ever!
So I've decided to loss some weight before the wedding and a friend of mine told me to try LA Weightloss.

The plan is easy to follow, the councelling is a little odd at first but the hardest part was not being able to eat all the junk I usually eat on the weekend when I get together with my friends.

But it's working, in almost 3 weeks I lost 6 pounds.

Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you know about your bridal shower or was it a surprise?
My mom just told me that we're having my bridal on March 21st of 2010. She said she know how much I hate surprises and thought I would rather know. Which is completley right.

The only problem is I don't know how envoled I should get. Should I just leave it up to my MOH and my mom or should I plan it for them?

Was yours a surprise or did you know? And if so, how involved did you get?

Mom found her dress
So we went shopping for my mom's dress today and found it. I love shopping with my mom, she has great taste and we always agree on everything.
It looks so great on her and flatters her body so nicely.

It will be a cashmere color instead of the photo.
Now I just have to figure out what's going on with my FH's mom.
Wish me luck.

Honeymoon
Planning our Honeymoon to Portugal
So FH and I have decided that since he has never been to Portugal before that he would love to see my roots. We plan on spending 2 weeks driving aroung Portugal as I show him all the sites and sounds.
With my grandparents both passing away this year he is wanting to me be able to visit there resting place aswell.

I'm so excited. It's tooo far away still but it will be the best trip ever.
We plan on going somewhere tropical in the winter after our wedding but we really wants to explore Portugal.

Grandfather passed away
A few weeks ago I had found out the my grandfather was really sick. We later came to find out that he had a serious case of spinal cancer that was not curable. We were unsure how long he would last for.
My mom and dad went right away to Portugal ( where he lived) to be by his side. The doctors were unsure how long he would survive and last night Sept 16th 2009 we got the phone call that he had passed away.

It is a very sad time in our lives right now as I was hoping we could convince him to come out for my wedding but now he'll be able to watch me from heaven.

They say that God takes the best ones first and leaves the rest behind until they are needed. I must admit he did spend 82 yrs here with us and now he's at rest.
