Wedding Rings And Jewelry
HELP ME! The Jewellery Hunt is still on!

I get the feeling that my jewellery saga will be ongoing like Unpredictable's dress or Nidhal's shoes. But Mark, my mom and I all like the following choices from Etsy.

The set I bought last week is not blingy enough for my Indian mother - she says it's too dainty. Mark actually agreed which floored me - he taught me that there's beauty in simplicity, but somehow on this day, he wants me to be a walking sparkle lol.

Anyway, I do like these pieces. i would order the first necklace and the first bracelet together - but then what kind of earring do I do?

Or I would order necklace 2 and ask the seller to custom make me a bracelet to go with it, the one it comes with is only one strand, I would ask her to make one that is thicker - at least 3 strands.. and with that too, what earrings - simple crystal drop earrings maybe?

Do you like either of these necklaces/sets with my outfit?

HELP! AND thanks in advance!

Also, just as a FYI for brides who like pearls as much as me, Etsy has amazing sellers!

Oh wow, the 2nd necklace is gorgeous and it would look so good with your dress. You should ask the seller to see if they can make you a matching bracelet!

jtherrie, I was thinking of asking them exactly that. Make me a snazzier bracelet to go with and maybe even earrings!

Unpredictable, you kept me amused for months with the dress saga, hopefully I can return the favour somehow. ;)

fijipearl, totally see your point on that one. I was thinking maybe I needed a choker style like Unpredictable said, but I see your point on the daring factor.. Hmmm...

I love all the items you have listed, so really, whatever you choose will look gorgeous!

If if were me, I'd go with necklace #2 (like how it follows the neckline of your dress) with the custom ordered-matching bracelet.  And then simple earrings, like you mentioned.  :)

Futuremrsredford, don't apologize hon! This is what you girls are here for! I need honest opinions. Mark thinks it needs a choker too lol! I'm going to contact the seller and see if we can make it more along the lines of a choker and see what she says. I'll go from there!
I love that one but my concern too was whether it'd be ok with the dress.

Banana, Thanks honey!! It really is my fave too out of all of them. Let's see if I can work with it a bit!

I actually really like them too but for the purpose of appeasing my bling-lovin Indian mom, it's not going to win that battle!! Lol

Oh and you're so welcome!! :) I hope you find something. There is such gorgeous stuff on Etsy!!

Oh darlin- I've been staring at this post for 10 minutes wondering if I should comment b/c I just don't want to confuse you more but then I figured that's what friends are for :) ha!

First, I know the pressure. I have an equally bling obsessed middle-eastern mom who was less than excited when I (lied) and told her I was going fo a simple dress with no bling at all. She will be happy on wedding day that I've lied to her all this time :)

I digress. So, I know your mom is not into dainty stuff (frankly neither am I). I think that with all of that bling on your dress, your tiny frame is going to be overwhelmed with a chunky necklace, earrings and bracelet and (a veil?) so this is what I would personally wear if I was wearing your dress (which is fabulous btw). Gosh I hope this all makes sense in the end. I have way too many thoughts.

Necklace- I would do no necklace OR the dainty necklace from previous post. If you decide on a chunkier necklace, I would do #2. I think with the straps where they are in the pic, you are going to look overwhelmed (closed in)  in a choker. If th real straps fall more down around your shoulders, you could do the choker for sure! I just can't tell with the way she's standing where the straps actually are.

Now, with NO necklace, I would combine a larger earring and a specially created bracelet #2 or bracelet #1 (nice chunky bracelet)!  and maybe 2-3 studded bangles on other wrist.

With Dainty necklace, I would still do a larger earring, and bracelet #1 and some studded bangles on arm 2.

With Necklace #2, I would do Bracelet #2 and really dainty earrings, like a diamond post with a single drop pearl (for example).

If straps are around shoulder I would do Bracelet #1, Neckalce #1 and dainty diamond post/single drop pearl earring.

Ahhhh. Ok. exhale. :) xoxo

Nidhal please always comment!! I love your taste and I trust your advice! Also I agree with everything you just said. My first thought was to go with bigger earrings and no necklace but there are 2 issues with that. 1) I am wearing my hair down and with my hair I still need the earrings to stand out alot but 2) my ears are extremely sensitive to heavy earrings. Too many years of wearing them.... I actually can't wear earrings that are too heavy so my challenge is finding an earring that is substantial enough without wearing my ear down... But that was my thought too-no necklace, big earrings and chunky cuff bracelet. But that was also why I started looking at bigger necklaces, I can wear them without pain or discomfort..

I think you're right on many counts. I am small and don't want to overwhelm myself either. It will def be easier to determine what will work after I get the outfit in hand.. At least I still have the daintier picks I bought last week and I like them. I will try and look for bigger
earrings that are also comfortable. Can't really order online though. Which is fine, I'm sure I can find something in the city!

Thanks honey! I am sooooo glad you posted! Gives me alot to think about but not in a bad way! But I won't regret spending money on something (though I love all the choices) and then not wear it.

Hey netter, I was actually thinking with the jewellery I already bought to sell it on here.. If you really wanted to change your jewellery you could post it on the Marketplace.. but not if it holds sentimental value I guess.. anyways, just a thought.

I vote necklace #2.  It is stunning!  And very different.

I too LOVE the Etsy jewelry shops.  I just purchased all of my bridal jewelry from SaharaAmaya.  Melanie was wonderful!  And I'm thinking about having her do some similar jewelry for my bridesmaids...
