NWR - Who chased who?

Ohhh Jesse totally chased me and I was such a tease. LOL. Good question Tash!

LOL...my FH chased me....not really a funny story, but I mind as well share :)

We work for the same company and it is huge. Has over 2000+ employees just at this one location. We saw each other in passing and I would never look his way (this is him telling me the story when we first actually met). Finally, he got my attention by knocking something down and had to bend over in front of me in order to pick it up. He did and had small talk. In my mind, I thought it was lame but cute lol. I still wasnt trying to talk to anyone at work so he still tried to pursue me. It took 3 attempts just to get me to go to lunch with, but from there, the rest was history. I didn;t know what I would have missed out on if I never said yes, to lunch!

THANK GOD I SAID YES TO LUNCH (the one time I should say yes to food! lol...)

well, after we met and chatted for the 1st time..i was the one calling him constantly (stalking him). I was just really into him & wanted to get to know him. He was in a band so he was constantly busy. After deciding to quit chasing him, he called me! lol

This is a good question!! It is interesting to read all of the different answers. My FH and I argue about this all the time. I met him at work right after high school . My siser in law worked with me and knew him. I thought he was cute and wanted to get to know him, but I was kind of in a relationship (shame onme), but it was a bad relationship. She can NEVER keep a secret, so I told her, so it would get back to him. He DID make the first attempt, but it was me after that. We both did the chasing, depending on the moment in our dating. =)

Lol  I wore the pants... FH was a wuss....I was the first one to talk to him...and I swear im the reason were together lol.

It was Len all the way.... first on line, then phone... he was so cute.. he says he was sooo nervous, he talked so fast it was hard to understand him.. I had to keep telling him to slow down and repeat.LOL  I agreed to coffee Figured 20 mins out of my life wouldn't kill me... and the rest is as they say is history.

We chased each other after the first date and couldn't get enough of one another! :) But I found him on MySpace, so I guess initially it was me.

My FH and I were friends, but not close friends. He asked me to be his gf after I went to his prom with him. I said no (I was 16, he almost 18) then he left for university. we didn't talk for a while then I made sure I kept contact -- I loved him, but I was afraid of what I was feeling  and said no -- poor guy!!

then in university we went to separate universities in the same town -- hang out with the same people and then in his last year of university he asked me out again and i said yes. we've been together for almost 7 years now.

he's now 28 and i'm 26. lol. it took years for this engagement to happen!

it's been a lot of one of us pursuing each other at one time or another. :)

ladydamm, sounds kinda familiar actually. When I first met Mark he wanted to ask me to prom but I was 2 years older and my friend told him he was too young - he blames me for that to this day LOL!  But come to think of it, there was some back and forth. I kinda chased Mark before we actually got together a little bit LOL. At one point  we spent the day together and things were so nice and yet a bit weird, and I asked him if there was something between us, and he said yes but he was too scared to ruin our friendship and his military career really didn't allow him to get serious, etc. I dropped it quickly - my ego was bruised. LOL he picked it back up 2 years later. :)

I wouldn't say my FH Joses CHASED me...  more like, waited patiently....  We met on an online dating site, but I was unsure if he was dating material...  I was really more just about getting out and meeting people, and he was so sweet, and gentle, I just didn't know...  SO, every day for four months we spoke online, chatting for likley hours every day.  My separation was not going well, but he was patient, and understanding, and just a great shoulder to lean on...  He never pressured me, and never got flirty, just....  sweet.

finally, in november, after four months, I asked him to dinner, figuring I was going to meet someone who would just turn out to be a very good friend...  well he was my friend, but I fell in love with him almost instantly.  His kind and generous soul, his sweet gentleness, respect, and not to mention his sweet face and cute butt, won me over in the end!

Brett totally did all the work the first 3 months. .I wasnt sure I wanted to get into anything too serious-- then I went away for a week and MISSED HIM LIKE CRAZY.. after that we shared the chasing :)

Awsome question tashasita! Our story is kind of funny... I went out with Lora(MOH) and a bunch of her work friends on New Year's Eve three years ago. We all got pretty drunk, and someone suggested that they call this guy they worked with as he rarely drank and was kindhearted enough to consider picking us up at 2am... He actually CAME!! I don't recall this next part (I blame the shots) but apparently I sauntered over to him, put my arm around his shoulder and asked him "if he did one night stands" haha. He politely declined as he had an on-again-off-again g/f of three years... OOPS! Anyway, I saw him at a few events over the following couple of months and heard through the grape vine that he had broken up with his now-ex. Then I joined his companies softball team. After one game, and some serious flirting, he left to Europe for a month :( On the day he returned he got my number from Lora and called me. He said he couldnt wait until softball to see me and that he was taking me out that night... no questions! He now says he couldnt stop thinking about me the whole time he was travelling. We moved in together a week later(FAST!!!) and have been happily co-habitating ever since!

So tell your single friends ladies: You CAN pick up an amazing guy while clubbing. Just not the way you'd expect...

This is a great question...

Larry and I met our freshman year of high school and became friends.  He had  a girlfriend all year so I never seen him more than just a friend.  Well the following year they broke up, it was pretty hard for him, so he dropped out of school for 1/2 of a year.  Now jumping to junior year.  I had a boyfriend at the time I saw larry at a party.  I was shocked to see him again... but to say the least I thought "damn he is hot!".  My best friend and I didn't stay long because we had friends waiting for us at a different place.  Before I left, Larry ran outside and gave me a hug, and told me to call him.  (I didn't have his phone number anymore).  Well the following week at school Larry knew I was a TA in the office so he came and dropped off his number.  I didn't do anything with it because I had a boyfriend, but a week after that (my boyfriend at the time) broke up with me.  I was hurt... cried... and eventually thought... wow.  So Larry found out that we had broken up and everyday he would have a note sent to me while I was in class... So one day I saw him and he had his arm over another girl.  I was like... damn I missed my chance.  I was playing hard to get and he gave up... so that night I called him.  Well the rest is history... haha.  We talked for over a month before he offically asked me out.  We started dating junior year of high school and now we are graduating college next week.  This will be of 7th year together. ♥

FH chased me!! Hey..it went just like the bible says "HE who findth a wife finds favor" and HE definatley found me!!  God wrote it out for us!

Hmmmmmmm.. Well.. we met Freshman year of high school. He was dating my best friend. They broke up... then one day during Sophomore year, I skipped 0 period and he came walking up the stairs and started talking to me. He told me he had just dreamed the night before that he was on an airplane that was crashing and looked over and saw me. .. I don't know if that's romantic or not.. but it's definitely sweet that the last face he saw in his dream death was mine :D lol. (my BFF's mom says death dreams mean the person will live for a long time.. here's hoping!)So we dated for about 6 months.. then broke up.. it was probably the cleanest break up ever. It wasn't that we didn't like each other, but it just didn't fit with our lives at the time. He was going to do Running Start at the college, and I was getting really in to my Sports Med class. Just too busy.

We kept in contact over the next year. I'd call him for advice, and he'd do the same. Whether it was girl/guy problems, or friends, or life. Then senior year came around and I got tired of being in relationships that would just end, so my friend and I swore we would "play the field" and not tie ourselves down yet. I was already sort of "seeing", more of hanging-out-with-but-swapping-kisses with this one guy (total toolbag, but one of those infectious people that you can't help but like) when I called my now bf to just talk, he asked me out on our second first date... We  "dated" for a couple months, then he asked me to be his gf on my 18th birthday and I ditched the other guy... So... would that be him "chasing" me?

I know that a lot of times I felt like I carried the relationship, but whenever I got fed up and started pulling away, he made sure I stayed.... Maybe there wasn't any chasing... it was kind of a mutual understanding.. lol..

I'm the only female stalker I see...lol!!! The moment I saw Matt, everything moved in slow motion for me and I went home and told my roomate at the time that I just met the boy who would make me cry (not knowing what it meant or why). It would be another 2 years and a whirlwind of circumstances to get him to realize he loved me back. Maybe one day I will tell the whole story, but for now I will just say that God had his hand all over this union :)

Jeff Was A Puppy, Scared To Talk To Me Or Even  Look Me In The Eyes When He Talked. When We Were At Our Friends House One Night Watching Movies, Or Buddy Went To Bed And The Other Friend Left. I Was Sad So I Put Jeff On Movie Duty With Me. I Made Him Cuddle With Me. He Was Like A Lil Scared Rabbit! LOL!! But I Got Him. So, Id Say He Did Silently, But I Had To Make THe First Move.

hahahha I've posted about this on my blog wayyy back in the day.. i'm so posting.. it's funny :)

He chased me. We worked at Sport Chalet.  He liked me.. I couldn't stand being near him! lol  He'd walk up and the other cashiers would be like "here comes your booyyyyy friend"  ugh.. it's Hobie...   He'd walk in..HIM:  "hey renee! how are you! how's it goin?"  ME: "hobie... don't you need to go to your department or something?" hahahhaha  Time goes on, we had a mutual friend.  We ended up spending a ton of time together.  Some days.. I kinda enjoyed him company..lol  Well one night we went to a bar for the mutual friends bday... lonnng story short, we got drunk and made out on the dance floor.  We get to the car and he's thinking he's in!  i'm like..nope!  don't touch me.. i'm sober now! hahahahhahah omg this still cracks me up.  He promised me he wouldn't tell a soul. oh.. there is more... we threeway kissed the bday girl.. omg so embarassing, cant even believe i did it :(

Next day, my hung over butt gets a call saying the WHOLE STORE is talking about it. Ok.. and this girl wasn't like a hot girl, she was like the total tomboy, and Hobie was the big dork.  See the picture.  I was soooo embarssed.  I called him, told him off and vowed to never speak to him again.  I got a rose and appology letter on my car that evening.. I burned it hahah

3 yrs later he found me on myspace.. we talked a bit, i called him, invited him to a bar for my bday.  I was nervous. I had started to like him before... but I was a jerk, and thought he was a big dork...hahah  I knew I would like him again.  He walked in... taller, and bigger, and more manly, adult looking.  I said to myself, there's my next b/f.  Ha.  He asked me out on a date and I had a key to his apartment in two weeks.  Been together ever since.  There is a more detailed story on my page :) hahahah

FH did the chase ( i posted this on my blog, so just cuttin n copyin cause im to lazy to retype the same story)

I met my FH while out with friends at a local club. (I am not a clubber by any means) I bumped into a friend and was chatting to her and there was a guy standing next to her but I had no idea who he was. I chatted to her for a bit. By then it was about midnight and I was thinking its home time. I said goodbye to my friends and went home.


The guy standing next to her happened to be FH. He apparently he just didnt know what to say. Tried to find me but lost me.. asked my friends where I had gone... and one of my friends had given me his number! (that is not a usual occurance) he texted me the next day and explained who he was and would I meet him for coffee. I was going to say no, but my friend gave me a call and said what she did and that it would be worth it. And for me not to be so conservative and just go, if it doesnt work out it doesnt work out. Needless to say the coffee date lasted more than 4hrs.. and been together ever since.

Laughs, these are GREAT.  On an interesting note...  my fh's and my first date, began with fireworks in the background (literally!), and lasted about 8 hours! We met for dinner at five, then wandered downtown barrie (a super small town in  ontario) till almost one in the morning!  By the second date, I knew I would marry him, although I admit suspecting on the first date, LOL.

Laughs.  Well, he is Quite the Diamond Tashasita, I'll completely admit...   and thank you, I did have to go through a lot of dirt (usually he fertilizing type, LOL) to find my own diamond, and he wasn't even in the rough, but cut perfectly for me!

He did the chasing. We met my freshman year in college. We both worked at Walmart, which was right by the college campus. I usually walked home after work. He started asking me if I wanted a ride home but usually my roommates would come meet me so I kept saying no. Then one day I finally said yes. He was dropping a couple of other people off too but waited to drop me off til last. We decided to hang out so the first time I hung out with him was on Halloween. We watched a movie. We kissed and I stayed over, which was so not like me. We hung out every day after that and he officially asked me out about a week later. We were together for about a year and a half, then we broke up for about 8 months. It sucked so much, but when we did get back together, it was amazing. He kind of chased me that time too. I think we both knew we would get back together but I made him work at it because he realized how amazing I was and how he really didn't want to live without me. We have been together ever since! So, all in total, since we first got together, it has been about 6 1/2 years. I am so happy. He is really my best friend.

That's awesome! Sometimes I think I should've dated Mark when I first met him and avoided all the goofs along the way lol, BUT then I realize that timing is everything, and those other people really helped me appreciate him that much more! It just works out! :)

we went to willow glen high and there is a street that goes thru the middle called VARSITY LANE so one day i seen uriah in the middle of the school year he was the new guy and i turned my head so fast telling my best friend damn look at that fine ass guy!! well she ended up having P.E. with him and told him i thought he was cute he thought i was cute but always seen me walking with my boyfriend so didn't say much about me ahaha so for a couple days i wore skirts and made sure i passed by him lookin all cute BUT i was always with my boyfriend walking by him so one day i made sure i caught his eye and flashed him my COLGATE smile and it was love at first sight =)

so one day i broke up with my dear boyfriend and started to chill at the stairs (where he chilled) and i always had starburst (that my ex BF bought me everyday) i would always ask uriah if he wanted candy and he never did! that jerk! i even offered my PINK ones!

well one day he finally took a candy and started to actually have a CONVERSATION with me lol
(he would always just answer me with yes or no when i would try to talk to him)
well that conversation lead to our relationship that has been going for 9 years!

LOL, he chased me.  Timing was always our thing.  I was with someone when we first me, & even after that guy & I broke up, I was NOT interested in committing to anyone.  I was ready to play the field, lol!  FH & I became really good friends, which lasted for years & he wouldn't verbally confess his crush, but he always told other ppl "that's my wife".  A part of me just wanted him to get to it already & say what he felt, but he's a man of action and little words, so we became inseperable & about 5 years of friendship later, we became an item & have been together ever since.  xoxoxo

Sooo funny reading some of these!  Good question. . .my FH and I kind of chased each other but I can say that it was chemistry as soon as we met.  I was actually dating someone (boyfriend of over a year and things were going good but could have been better) but when I met my FH I knew what I needed to do!  A week later I was single, I started dating my FH, a month later it was "official,"  six months later we lived together and about a year and a half later we were engaged!
