NWR: 4 Things I want to know about you

I love this idea too

1) Friends and Family call me Tini, my parents call me their Darling Clementine lol (my future last name and middle name) and David often calls me Boo boo or Doll (started as trying to shorting Dahlia)

2) I am not well travelled, favorite spot so far has been Jasper great for a romantic getaway, overnight horseback riding and camping under the stars up in the mountain, hope to travel somewhere more exotic for our honeymoon

3) Sweet, though my major weakness are chocolate covered pretzels which are a bit of both! Yay for thinsations and portion control

4) I quote so much, mostly geeky sci-fi like Firefly, Lord of the Rings, ooh and The Office haha really too many to list

1.  Chase's Nicknames for me are Darlin, Blue Eyes, & Sara Bear.  My mom calls me Sara Beara or Sara Nickel (my middle name is Nicole), and my sister calls me Aras (Sara backwards).

2.  Outside of states in the U.S., I have only been to two places, the Virgin Islands & Germany.  Both were great in their own way.  The Virgin Islands for just the "island" way of life and Germany with it's rich history & architecture.

3.  Both :)  No wonder kettle korn is my fave!!!  I love my sweets...ice cream, chocolate, cookies, candy, etc., but potato chips are a food group in my diet :)  I will seriously eat an entire full size bag of chips in one sitting...lol!!!!  

4.  I find myself quoting "Finding Nemo" frequently!  Hey there Mr. Grumpy Gills, Just keep swimming, or I shall call him Squishy, and he will be mine, and he will be my Squishy.  Makes me want to go watch the movie :)

FH -- Jelly Bean, calls me B for short, which kinda messes with people's heads cuz they're like what? your name is Joy and he calls you "B"?

Mom -- Tooties -- really have no idea why, but she's called me this since I was a baby.

Other friends and family -- Joyousness, Joyful, Joyous Reply, etc.

2) What is the coolest place you have ever travelled? I've barely traveled! I've only been to Ontario (because I live there), Michigan (because I live in a boarder city and the shopping is awesome!) and Texas (to visit my hunny while he was at U of T at Austin)

3) Sweet or salty? It really depends on what it is. I looooove fruit so there's that sweet. Dark chocolate is amazing. And once every 3 or 4 months I give in and have a few chips -- I don't buy them, but it's so difficult to tell people you're visiting to take the chip bowl away. lol

4) Name a song, TV show or movie that you quote all the time.  I love music! But I don't quote it. It's just sung around alot. Tv show -- oh definitely Friends! (coming in a very close 2nd would be Modern Family) and no specific movie -- if my FH and I have seen a funny movie we'll quote some things here and there.

1 - Old friends and my family call me Dee and my FH calls me Beezel or Beeze...which new friends and his family have caught on to. I don't know where that nickname came from but he has called me that since we started dating.
2 - I have never been outside of Canada so my travel experiences are quite limited. I LOVE Banff and Calgary though. So beautiful!
3 - I like both...salty a bit more though.
4 - I'm amazed at how many quotes people remember. The only one that sticks out in my head is from Sex and the City when Carrie said "I like my money right where I can see it...hanging in my closet". Haha, a quote I live by.

What a beautiful name - Dahlia Darling. How romantic is that? I should write a love story with you as my main character inspiration :) Jasper sounds great, I have not been but have heard great things, my cousin worked in an art gallery up there a couple summers and LOVED it, mmm pretzels.. and I love Lord of the Rings - named my e-ring Precious lol

hecallsmehisdarlin - I love Chase's nicknames for you awww. And only siblings do funny things like that lol. No one will call me what my name spelled backwards is though.. not very nice!
Both places sound very nice! mmm kettle korn - this was a bad question if I wanna stay on my diet LOL, Finding Nemo is awesome - I can speak whale. I do sometimes to make my baby nephew laugh! :)

ladydamm, Ha! B could be short for babe, boo, etc. etc. What a cool name Joy is. So many beautiful variations! Cross-border shopping - I hear ya! And it counts!! :) I love it! The chocolate I just had was Laura Secord Premium Dark chocolate... mmmmm... hopefully it curbed the craving for a while. I'm losing steam.. need it back! LOVE Friends! Such a good show! That comes up quite a bit too! :)

1. Nickname: Csquared. People call Chris and I this because our names are Chris and Christa. Other people call me Chris, but that's kind of confusing when they call and ask, "Is Chris there?"

2. Southern Africa. I went to Botswana on a volunteer internship and travelled to South Africa as well. Cape town was simply stunning. The extremely long flight there and back I could have done without though :).

3. Definitely sweet. I could go for some chocolate right now!

4. The American version of The Office. Even my students know that I am obsessed with this show.

danielleb, Beeze is cute :) Funny how sometimes nicknames come out of nowhere. Heard the same about Banff/Calgary! LOL @ the SATC quote! :) That's sure where my money is lolol.

Christa, I'm still laughing at Chris with T and A LOLOL. I so wanted to be in South Africa for World Cup or World Cup Cricket but maybe one day.. I can only imagine how gorgeous it is! The Office is pretty funny!

1~ I don't have a nickname :( Everyone called me Riley (last name) in the Army & it stuck with some people & in preschool everyone called me Bambi.

2~ We don't get to travel but I did go to Germany, it was ok not a favorite though. We get to go to Cabo for our honeymoon so I'm sure I will love that.

3~ Before I was pregnant I LOVED lays original potato chips & never ate sweets, since I had my daughter it's been the opposite lol.

4~ Hmmm, this one is hard for me. The only thing I kinda quote is a line from one of Nick Swardson's stand up comedy about old people and how he can't wait to get old. (look it up on youtube) It's been an inside joke between me and my FH lol.

I'll bite.

Nicknames - My mom calls me any and every variation of banana. She RARELY calls me by my first name. Nanner, Banana, Beana, Beanut (combo of Banana and Peanut, which is what the nurse called me when I was born), Beanana Nut, I could go on... :) A girlfriend calls me Janna BananaPants Cornstalk (a play on my full name), and that's how BananaPants started. Nate? Hmm. He doesn't have any consistent nicknames for me.

Travel - I've been fortunate to travel throughout MOST of the U.S. (Been to all but a handful of states.) We managed to hit a state park at Lake Tahoe just right, and Wowzie Kazowie is all I gots to say. Soooooooooo picturesque. We were pretty much the only ones there, and I was keenly aware of all five of my senses that morning.  Simply amazing there. Yosemite National Park is also high on my list and I'll never ever forget a trip to Cozumel, Mexico with two other girlfriends!

Salty AND sweet! Looooooove Nut Rolls because of that, or baked beans with potato chips. Yummy!

Quotes - I don't quote lines very often, but I love the one liners in "The Princess Bride," "Steel Magnolias," "When Harry Met Sally," and "How I Met Your Mother." :) "I knew like you know with a good melon." Ha!

I travel a lot but would love to travel more. To pick the coolest place is hard... hmmmm.... I went on a trek in the mountains of thailand and that was REALLY cool to see the culture and all scenery and experence the real thailand.

The coolest place I've ever been was on my 19th birthday. We watched the sun rise while sitting on top of one of the ruins, overlooking the jungle at Tikal, Guatamala while listening to howler monkeys and traditional instruments! Super spiritual experience, and so worth the 4am wake-up call!!

1. My nickname is Chocolate Drop (so kindly given to me by my Grandma..I Love her sooo much.  She's been calling me her chocolate drop since I can remember).  Eric's nickname is "E-dub"...LOL  all his friends call him that!

2.My MOST exciting place I've traveled to was Cancun Mexico!!! Wheew! I had a BaLL THere!! white sands, clear crystal blue waters.  Just awsomely gorgeous!!..I LOVE it.. (This question may change to Hawii after we honeymoon ;-)

1. naenae for years!  or naes naes.. is another my aunt still calls me at 27 :)  Someone gave me "babygirlnaenae" as a suggestion when I was 12 for a aol screen name and it stuck.. my g/f's literally are like.. what's up baby girl nae nae!!! hahahah  hense my name on here!  Hobie calls me babe... or squishy... We're very much Babe's hahahh

2. I haven't traveled to many cool places.  I will say, that the Riviera Maya in Mexico was one of the most amazing vacations.  That could have been due to the unlimited gourmet food and alcohol, and beds on the beach and swim up pools... I dunno..hahaha

3. salty!!!  I'll take some chilli cheese fries over a sundae anyyyyy day!  But... when I eat something really salty, it has to flow with just a bite of something sweet and vise versa. :)  I'm a cheese girl!

4.  Ummm this is what I do, so I really don't know how to choose.. I literally got hired at my current job b/c the guy interviewing me jokingly said, "i'm freaking out man" and I replied with "you are freaking out....man"  it's from Supertroopers.. one of my alltime faves! hahahah  He goes.. omg ur hired! lol  Anywho.. We quote Superbad often, "chicka chicka ya, fake id chicka" Supertroopers, Family Guy, Two and a Half Men "you know..." hahahha  The song Independent by Webbie.. hobie always says "she cooks, she cleans, smells like onion rings" bahahhaha  I can go on for days so i'll just stop :) oh duh, biggest one ever... the show friends... monica's... "IIIIII know!  um I do that 100 times a day fyi.. I I ever say "i know!" in my blog.. that's how i'm saying it :)

NWR: 4 Things I want to know about you
I love nidhal's idea to learn more about you girls!!! I loved reading her post and makeupdiva's post!! And I loved my post yesterday about who chased who and the 'what makes you happy' posts of today! So cool!

We talk about weddings all the time, but these posts are helping us to really get to know each other!

I would like to continue this, I think it's uber cool learning how interesting some of your lives are and also, how much we have in common, or just get ideas of how different we are and yet bond over a common goal :) Awesomeness!

Ok, but I'm going to be slightly different and ask 4 things:

Here are my responses:

1) VSECRET (My FH calls me this- get it, my name is Victoria and everyone always ask me, "so Victoria, whats your secret" due to the store we all love "Victoria Secret). Family members call me Vicki. I get "Vee" alot from friends because they are "too lazy to say Victoria"...lol..thats a quote by the way.

2) Amsterdam, by far, was the coolest place I visited. Literally..it was sooooo cold and it was cool going there! :)

3) Sweet of course!

4) The movie "Friday" when Chris Tucker says "And you know this maaaannnn." My fav quote I some how find myself using till this day!

mrsmosley, Mark has been saying we should def take a trip to Belize next year. Think our honeymoon may be to Jamaica cuz I really want to meet his grandma, but other than that, Belize was our first choice. You loved it? NI-NI is so cute :) And I love Dirty Dancing. When I was younger I could watch it over and over and over. My mom stopped counting at 55 times lolol. I looove chocolate cake!!!!! OH MAN, when does this diet end?! LOL

Victoria, I love Victoria's secret! Sexy name! :) I am also sooo excited that Victoria's secret is finally opening in Toronto - I just found out today! WOO HOO! :) I say that line with my friends all the time too, I think I need some original material, all I do is quote other ppl all day! LOL
Also, Amsterdam I can imagine - heard amazing things!

Tashiki we had such a blast!! This was a well needed vacation!! So we wanted to relax… Belize city wasn’t as nice as I expected but we were there all of 1 hour before we boarded our water taxi. We stayed in Caye Caulker Belize in condos called caye reef they will pick you up from the airport and help you get to the water taxi. Once you dock someone will drive you in a golf cart to your condo. The condos were really nice huge living space with electrical outlets like the states, salt water showers (the only con was the septic tank toilets =( still indoors and nice I’m just a spoiled American lol) Caye Caulker is a very small, quite and very beautiful island. We stayed on the beach most of our days …we did some kayaking and had a couples massage (super nice spa) we went snorkeling. The island itself I think is 1 mile long very minimal surroundings. The people were so friendly!!! This was the perfect vacation for us because we could sit in beautiful surroundings and literally do nothing if we wanted. If you want to take a trip to the jungle and zip line and do all that fun exotic stuff they offer that as well. We’ve been on a few vacations where it was nonstop exploring and events planned this wasn’t like. I hope I gave you some good advice and you have a better though as to if its right for you please let me know if I can help in anyway=) here is the link to where we stayed.

PS: I love that movie it will always be a classic to me…My diet ends in two months and 29 day=) I’ve been keeping track lol!!!! I just ease up a bit then=)

ooh! i wanna play..:)

1. Momo (cause my middle name starts with mo) is what FH calls me in addition to the traditional "Baaabbbeee!! whenever he wants me to get something for him.  Some of my friends that i've known since high school call me Kish or iki.  Lol funny story..in the 9th grade..i used to wear this necklace around my neck that had little letters on it that spelled "Kiki"..however the first K used to get stuck at the back of my neck all the time..so it would spell "iki" instead..one day someone yelled out "Hey iki" and all I could do is looked down at my necklace and try to pull the K back to its rightful place...they still tease me to this day.

2.  The most beautiful place I have ever been..Hawai'i..i just love it there..FH is on the bandwagon to retire there one day.  Tara...you will love it..but I agree that the cancun and riviera mayan area in Mexico is a close contender for me.  I love any place that has ble water!!

3.  I would definitely go for sweet..i love gummi bears and the sour gummi worms lol..but you have to admit isn't the mix of both sweet and salty just as tasty..yum!! kettle corn is the best of both worlds..but if forced..i'd go with sweet :)

4.I don't know of any movies that I quote regularly..but recently my friends and I have had this running joke about Usher's OMG song..anything something crazy happens or someone does something silly..the response is "Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh my gosh."  Its gotten funnier over time because some of us will sing it as a response and others will say it with a completely serious face..its really dumb but we get a kick outta the fact that the song was even made in the first place..lol
