Ask a Question
Cardstock or no cardstock? Reserved signs

So I made some pretty easy peasy reserved signs for the ceremony on white cardstock. Do they need to be mounted on some purple cardstock or will they be ok as is with some purple ribbon attached to tie to the chairs?

Also, I printed my favour labels today and I am happy to report, the favours have arrived in Canada and are ready to assemble. It is a horrific picture taken with my iPhone but I document everything on here so I can refer back to this blog after the wedding :)

Your signs are pretty, I think they need the purple cardstock one for the punch of color and two for the strength.  It might help with the 'curling' of the paper (mine curled too when I printed them, grrrrr!)

I was thinking of the strength more than the colour, but mainly cuz I am now lazy lolol. Thanks for your honesty hon! I think I can handle the cardstock though :)

I personally don't think they need purple backing. I like the simplicity of this with ribbon :) I think the purple cardstock would make them look a bit homemade (I think). Just me visualizing so I could be off...

Hmm.. ok if I have time, I will try it both ways lol. You know me, I will walk into Michael's lost and confused and trying to figure out how to make these look normal lol.

Hmm I agree about using other cardstock for the strength. Love the signs though.

i think if you were sitting on the table, then the cardstock would be god, but if you are goign to attach to the chair, i think that the purple ribbon would be perfect.  Def try it both ways though and see what you like best.

Maybe if you do the purple do a different shade that still works with the wedding to give it some definition.

I'm such a horrible bloggy friend... so sorry I haven't been by in a while! There's so much to catch up on here! :)

I love how these turned out!  They would look great by themselves or with the purple cardstock! Whatever you have time for.. only 10 days! YEYYY!

But yeah, it is coming fast and furious!

Thanks sweetie. I think you hit it, it's really what I have time for at this point lol

definitely pretty! i would use the purple cardstock. (something a bit heavier) it looks like they're curling a little bit and that would help with it -- straighten it out. otherwise it'll curl more when the ribbon is on it.

Your signs turned out great! Personally I would go for the purple cardstock, but they will look nice either way.

They really look great, so either way you can't go wrong!!!!  The cardstock would keep the ends from curling, though.

hahaha So i'm gonna comment and say the same thing everyone else did... lol  My first thought is yes to cardstock.. but like Nidhal said.. I never thought about that fact that matting stuff makes it look more homemade.. hmmm tough one.. doing both is a perfect idea.. just see how it looks :)
