so we went to los gatos opera hall because i seen it online and thought it was so pretty, but anyway we walk n tell the guy we are interested in having our wedding/reception there and he shows us the place and i FALL IN LOVE!! we go back to his office and he FINALLY asked what our date was he opened his little planner book to may and all i see is writing EVERYWHERE!! his smile goes away and he says " hmm that doesnt look like a good day" my heart BROKE!! i even considered changing dates but then thought about it some more and our date has meaning so i couldnt do it =(

I just noticed you live in San Jose... this might be too far for you and your guests but I live in Antioch and this is where we're getting married at. It's sooo much more beautiful in person; however it's outdoors.

When one door closes that just mean something else greater is in store. Don't take it as something bad but that God has something even better for you too! I take every opportunity to turn my situations around and watch how it works in your favor!! Be bless!!

I know just how you feel...

When we were getting married, it was very important we had the day we did. Two different venues tried to push me into changing my date! (One was only doing so to force me to spend the $10k weekend food minimum, as when she thought I was only doing a $400 wedding package, my date was available - but two hours later when I considered a full menu, it suddenly wasn't anymore.) Both were told rather curtly, "no, my wedding date was chosen because it is special. It is not negotiable."

And in the end, I found a venue I loved WAY more than the two venues that weren't available on my day, that was much prettier and easier to work with. I wouldn't change it for anything now!

I agree with Butterfly: it just means there is some other beautiful venue in store for you! c: Don't sweat it, you'll find something you love.
