I have decided NOT to choose colors for our wedding. I tried that but so many others kept creeping into the picture. See my last few posts. BUT, there was a general theme and style across the board. SO instead of trying to center the style around exact colors, I have decided to stick to vintage romance as a theme.
Our venue is a big old mansion, set in beautiful Victorian gardens, and built in the early 1900's {see previous posts}. The house was seriously made for this theme. Since my style is usually a little 'vintagey' anyway, I guess I fit the house too :)
ALSO, instead of doing a traditional registry we will be registering for our honeymoon instead {more on that later}. SO I think I can work in some really interesting vintage travel accents <3
I want to collect pieces from various eras to mix and match the classic styles and romance of those times. I can spend days at a flea market and now I have an excuse to do it! For me, the more weathered and worn something is, the more character and charm it has, and the better story it will help me tell.
I am most at home around historic elements and whimsical details so it makes sense that they would play a part in one of the most important days in my life. I can't wait to spend it surrounded by the people and things that matter most to me!!
