HOW IS YOUR PARTY LINING UP?

My church has two steps going up towards the altar. I really want to be unique with the way my wedding goes, but not too different. I was wondering how are you going to line up your groomsmen and bridesmaids. I know it is tradition to have them on the same side but I think I want to change that. I want the couples that walk down to stay together. I would love to have the guys on the second step sort of diagonal to the left/right of the gals who will stay on the first step.

Let me know if that idea sounds cool or if that is a definite no-no.

My sister did that for all her wedding party pictures in the church and it looked really good.  So I say go for it, it's your wedding and you'll be the one who looks at those pictures forever.  =)

I think it would look good, but make sure the stair is wide! lol

I was in a wedding, we had to wear 3 1/2 inch heels and stand on a narrow step for 40 minutes... I was about to pass out and the one girl tripped.
