Rehearsal Date
I just got my final copy of our contract from the venue today in the mail. Under the rehearsal date section it says that the available times for rehearsals are Monday- Thursday from 9am-3pm. I was under the impression that the rehearsal was the night before the wedding ( which is Friday ). Is anyone having their rehearsal dinners the night before.. or a few nights before? This is the first time I have actually felt stressed about the wedding!!

Most people do have the rehearsal dinner the Friday before the wedding but I just read that the new thing to do is have the dinner during the week as the day and night before the wedding is so busy and stressful anyways.  I am not having a rehearsal as doing very simple ceremony with only 4 of us in party so not a problem for me but I think that is a great idea - why not have it the Thursday instead?  How many people are you inviting to the dinner and how many out of town guests - that could pose the problem.  Good luck

I am having my rehearsal on the Thursday night (the wedding is on Saturday).
This makes it easier for my mother in law to clean up after the rehearsal dinner at her place because the wedding isn't the next day that way.  Also, people can drink without worrying about a hangover the next morning on the wedding day.  It also gives our hall some time to set things up on Friday night, since we won't be there rehearsing.  It also makes your day before the wedding less stressful, you can just relax and you don't have to think about anything on the Friday, everything will already be done... smooth sailing!

I've actually only seen them a couple nights before. I agree that the night before is usually too stressful!

This stressed me out too.  Ours in on the Wed before our Sat wedding.  Now I am glad as we have a couple of days for relaxing...
