I didn't want anything TOO formal, but unfortunately it looks like that's what we're getting. Basically the agreement is that if we want his father to pay for anything towards the rehearsal dinner, it has to be completely done on his dad's terms. And his dad's decided to book one of the most formal steakhouses in town... I'm pissed about it, but there's not much I can do. I mean, the food's good but I HATE stuffy, formal meals. They don't do much for me except piss me off.
I love the idea too ;) I don't feel like seating down and talking :)

We were going to do this same thing. However we opted out because the little bowling alley that rents out for parties want $700 just to rent the place not including food! I thought it a bit too much! So we are going totally casual for our rehersal. We are having a BBQ and swim party. I just want everyone to be able to mingle and relax before the big day, which for us is going to be uber formal as well! Have fun kncoking down those pins!

Our wedding was semi-formal, I'd say.
