Name my blog, win wedding stuff!
Ok, here's the deal: I'm starting a new blog (more on why at a later date), and I need help naming it. "Kate the Bride" just isn't doing it for me. I want something that reflects me and my personality a little better. Plus, look at the cute dinosaur header! I need something that reflects that cute quirkiness.
Help name my blog, and you could win a Priority Mail Flat Rate box full of wedding planning goodies, including books and magazines. It's stuff I've used that I'm done with now, and I want it to find a good home! A beautiful fall wedding
My dear friend Jess got married this weekend, and I was so honored to be up there beside her! The brown dress I picked out worked out perfectly with the dresses all the other girls had picked individually; proof that it can be done. They got married in western Massachusetts at a beautiful ski lodge. The room was filled with white lights, and all the decorations were perfectly fall appropriate! Best of all, the couple was truly in love, living in the moment, happy to be together. I am sure they will have many lovely years together.

Back to Work!
I got a job!
After six months of unemployment, I got a job! Yipee! It's not quite what I imagined- I had thought I'd end up in another financial services position, assisting financial big wigs, and instead I'm an admin at a school. Everyone seems really nice and I think the job will have a lot of learning opportunities. The job is temp right now, but is set to go perm in the next few months. Working is definitely going to go a long way in helping to save for the wedding! Bridezilla shopping spree, here I come!

Wedding Reception
A pop of salt for our candy buffet!
I've never had much of a sweet tooth. I've always been more of a salty snack kind of girl- chips, crackers, popcorn. So why didn't it occur to me until now that I could add some of my favorite salty stuff to our "candy" buffet? It'll add great variety! And stuff like this will be easy to pick up at Costco right before the wedding! Goldfish, pretzels, popcorn, and of course, my much beloved Doritos. I have a feeling we may need to buy more glass containers...
