Unemployed!

Yes, like thousands of other Americans, I was laid off this week. It's strange, I'm not horribly upset about it (at least, not yet). I have enough savings that I'm not desperate for cash, and I think I'll be able to find enough work to make ends meet going forward. This is going to cut into my weddings savings, though, and that's disappointing. Not that I had any particular aspirations that are going to have to be cut, we already had our budget cut pretty tight, but I was hoping to have enough of a cushion to not have to worry about spending a little more on anything if I needed to, you know? Well, we'll see- 400 days until our wedding, a lot can happen in 400 days!

Sorry to hear about that---it will all work out in time--what was meant to be will be!  Good luck finding another job.  You are taking it better than me--although I don't know if I would be upset if I was laid off--but it is a paycheck and a good company and that is what would bother me.  Hope you find something soon.  Anything is better than nothing!

Woow! Sorry to hear your news! I've  been out of work for a year and a week now!  Desperate for cash now....LOL A year is a long time on unemployment, which will be ending in another month! Yikes....Scary!

I've been unemployed for the last 2 and 1/2 months. It does get stressful, because we are still saving for the wedding and we're moving as well, but we are staying prayerful that everything works out. We started saving for the wedding a when we were about 15 months out, so we're okay for right now, but I truly thought something would have come thru by now.

I'll keep you in my prayers that things come thru for you as well! :)

I have been unemployeed for over a year now. Well, for most of that time I was in school and doing internships. But now that I have my degree I can't find anything!

But there is always the fact that now you can collect unemployment!!! =)
