Lemon grass and coconut sorbet

{Entree}

Maple wrapped fresh Atlantic salmon
Individually wrapped in maple wood and glazed with a caramelized onion BBQ sauce, maple sugar, and anise; served with roasted seasonal vegetables and house blend of wild rice

Individual Beef Wellingtons
Top quality beef tenderloin and wild mushrooms wrapped in a thin puff pastry. Served with steamed julienne vegetables bundled in leek and a pink peppercorn sauce

or

Poulet Thibault
Medallions of free range chicken are treated with a capsicum-oregano flavored parmesan breadcrumb. Gently sautéed the finished cutlet is layered with local goat’s cheese chevre and served on a robust port-tomato sauce with seasonal vegetables and potatoes

Shoestring fries, sweet potato fries, chicken gravy, beef gravy, vegetarian chilli, old cheddar, havarti, mozzarella, and fresh cheese curds. Guests dish up their own according to their liking, mmm mmm good!

{Beautiful Backdrop}
Here is a diy I definitely want to give a whirl, this whimsical/charming photobooth is my inspiration. I think it would be a lovely touch and maybe even do double duty as a ceremony backdrop or head table backdrop. For our wedding I'd probably go with hues of pinks, peaches and creams, and I'm thinking fabric strips would be more cost efficient then ribbons

{Our Favorite Options So Far}
I have fallen in love with ellothere's etsy shop, their invites are cute as a button and I love that they can customize their designs to the couple, right down to the details on a silhouette!

We've narrowed it down to two options, the bookshelf is super cute and ties in to our escort card display and centerpieces nicely....


but then how adorable are the customized modern silhouettes? they cost significantly more due to the detailing but we love them too!

This is currently my favorite, it combines so many elements I love into one sweet look



I saw it on greenweddingshoes, via my blog reader earlier this week the whole shoot is gorgeous and was inspired by Harry Potter :) This is one of the best adaptations of a theme that I have seen link here

{His Ring}
The boy picked out his band, its a lovely hammered silver framed by gold, unique, masculine and very fitting for him . I love that he wanted something more than a gold band and choose a ring to reflect himself, after all here is hoping he'll be wearing it the rest of his life!

In other wedding news my dress has arrived and it is l-0-v-e! Sorry no pics until after the wedding of me in it as some friends and family check out this blog and I want to surprise the lovelies on the day of because no picture can do it justice.

Other than that, it's all quite on the wedding front for now aside from getting a few quotes from vendors.

New obsession = TOMS, they are super comfortable and a sweet finish to many looks. I love that when you buy a pair they give a pair to a child in need and when I saw these lovely pink grosgrain ribbon toms I knew they would be perfect for our wedding! Can definitely walk the aisle and dance the night away in these, and feel great about my purchase <3 love

Groomsmen
{Bought for the Boys}
I love the look of suspenders, oxford shifts and a crisp pant, rather then getting the guys to rent a suit, we decided to go with the three aforementioned items.

I figure its going to be summer, warm, they might be able to wear a jacket for the ceremony but odds are it will be off at the reception, and if I know these boys they might not remember where they set them down by the end of the night {okay they aren't that bad, but still no jackets for our boys, I love the suspenders on their own!}

To top off their ensembles the boy picked out these amazing jedi tie clips found on etsy and we are also buying them a pair of toms as part of their gift for standing by us through our wedding journey. We also found these hilarious mustache socks at urban outfitters and couldn't resist, they will be cute for some photos!

Fun, kind of casual, probably not for everyone but very much our style <3
Now my boy just has to decide between the jacket or a vest to set him apart!
