With the year to go month quickly approaching we've decided to start {announcing} our engagement, though those nearest and dearest have known forever, we couldn't keep it a secret!
To celebrate the year to go milestone we are having an engagement party in Mid June, more or less we just want an excuse to get our loved ones together but I plan on making sure they'll have a blast.
The {theme} tentatively is going to be vintage circus, inspired by this lovely Big Fish board that greenweddingshoes did
It didn't really fit the rest of our wedding vision with our venue and other decisions but we both love it
Who doesn't love the joys of the circus, yummy popcorn, fantastic colors, the excitement in the air. All the lovely books and movies that have brought visions to life, for example Water for Elephants. I have not seen the movie yet, but the book is one of my all time favorites, the first time I picked it up I didn't put it down , cover to cover, hence my hesitation to see the film edition, the book is always better but that doesn't stop me from swooning over this lovely board another stunning greenweddingshoes creation
My parents have graciously volunteered their yard, we could rent a tent, string up some round party lights, grill up some burgers and hot dogs and maybe some kettle corn for a sweet treat. Looking forward to it! And if we don't go with a vintage circus for this, I'll definitely find a reason to make it the theme for another occasion!!
