Well, we just had our engagement party at the Cheesecake Factory on Sunday, December 7, 2008. Brunch was served, the cheesecake was fabulous, and the place was just right for us. The engagement invitations were beautiful thanks to the BRIDES collection at Michael's. They were easy to print with the pre-format for printing. We have decided to ask our closet friends and family to be in our wedding. Our wedding party includes:

Well, my fiance wanted to ask his friends to be in our wedding, but he wanted to do something different. So, I found these footballs.

I decided to have a groom's cake for my fiance. I wanted to have something that he enjoyed the most...besides me, but he loves FOOTBALL! So, I decided on a football helmet cake. We'll ladies, I need help with my hair. I definitely want a sleek updo for my wedding. I found some of these pictures, which are nice. They look natural . I am going for this glamorous theme. Well, we are still unsure of the exact design of the cake, i.e. round or square, but we have been thinking about some ideas. First, the cake will have four layers and be placed on a nice silver cake stand. Next, we are trying to decide to either have a ribbon band as in picture one or with a ribbon band with lines as in picture two. We know for sure we are using firework candles since our wedding is on the fourth of july as seen in picture one. Tell me what you think?

Well, we did not want the traditional boutonniere so we decided to go with a boutonniere that resembles a peice of art. So, this first picture is a dahlia flower with berries wrapped in striped lily grass. However, for our wedding, the groomsmen will have a fuschia rose, hand opened, wrapped in lily grass. For the groom, he will wear a combination of fuschia roses and orchids. For the special woman in our family, we are thinking about a wrist corsage, but I am unsure of the design (last picture) because it may be too much for the wrist. Tell me what you think? It definitely has my color scheme. On the other hand, we were also thinking miniture bouquets. Simple elegance for the special woman in our family. Tell me what you think?

Well, this is one subject I did not want to post, but I need everyone's help with this one. For the past five years now my sisters and I have been having difficulties in our relationship with our father and his girlfriend and now wife. We did not attend his wedding nor did members of our family except for my father's mother. My father has done a 360 on his family and it has been by the hands of his new wife. Thus, he does not maintain any contat with us or our family members.

I am getting married, but I do not think I can have my father walk me down the aisle. My mother passed away in 1996 and my grandmother in 2007 which was her mother. I have one grandfather living, but he has problems with walking. Does anyone have any other alternative? I thought about my sisters to walk me down, or my grandmother along with aunt who have been a strong force in my life, but I do not know. Please help me. Any ideas? Be honest with your responses....

Please help....does anyone know where to find these centerpieces or even know how to make these? I did want to add some hanging crytals for an added touch, but can somone direct me in the right direction.

We have decided to have three musicians play at the ceremony and cocktail hour. I wanted to have live vocals play a special song while I walk down the aisle and while we are taking pictures, our guests can listen to live music. But, for the reception, we are definitely having a DJ.

Here is an option I have been thinking about to do with my seating cards. I love this idea and I think it is inexpensive. I will definitely find out how it costs once I meet with my florist, but what do you think?

I wanted to give my fiance a gift the day of the wedding. I will a have my matron of honor go to his room and give him a white box with a ribbon, which will include the cuff links. I decided on giving him cuff links since he will be woring them anyway on that day and he loves little jewerly things to accent his attire. However, I need help. Which ones do you like?

Hey, I am really struggling with chosing wedding colors. I really like the color of fuchsia, but my fiance does want the whole wedding to be some much pink and too girly. So, we were trying to decide what color to pair with it. Fuchsia can be the accent color, the color of the flowers, and other small things, but I need something to match the color with. I found this color scheme on-line and thought it would be nice. If not the creamy white then the color gold. Any suggestions anyone?

We thinking since our wedding is on the fourth of July, there could be a chance that the weather can be hot or humid. So, to keep our guests cool during the wedding ceremony we can give them a nice fan and attached can be the wedding program. Do you like that is a good idea or is it chesey?

I added more pictures for program styles because I am not too sure about the fan program now.

Since we are getting married outside...we thought to decorate the archway so it will add just a little something. The place where we are getting married has beautiful grounds and this will just enhance the archway. I was thinking instead using string orchids, to pick a least expensive flower that will add a punch of color. I like the way the fabric looks.

Now, I also choosen to use a sash on the ceremony chairs to add color too. I especially like the way the sash is tied on the chairs.

Well, included in our package at our wedding location, our guests are given a drink with sweet and savory treats when they enter. Thus, my Fiance and I decided to have a cool refreshing drink of lemonade since our wedding is going to be held on th fourth of July. The wedding reception does not have these style glassess, therefore we are going with the second picture. I am seraching for fancy straws and will place a flag on the straw with our names as in picture one. Does anyone know of a place that has a fancy straws or some elegant stirring stick?

I got engaged on June 20, 2008 around 6:31 p.m. to my princecharming. The setting was fabulous and the proposal was everything I expected, if I could have remembered. I was so surprised that I could not have hear anything my princecharming said to me. The only thing I recall was "I want to spend the rest of my life with you." Even when he said that, I was still shock and I couldn't respond, but I did. I said "YES."
