Uneven Wedding Party!! How many Wedding Attendants are in your wedding?
Hey Brides
How many wedding attendants is everyone going to have in their wedding? My FI and I decided to have a relatively small wedding only 50-75ppl. Our wedding party is going to be small as well; we decided only four bridesmaids and four groomsmen (including MOH and BM), a flowergirl and ringbearer. Well I totally forgot about my niece and my goddaughter (both teenagers) whom I would love to add to our wedding, but I don't want to have an uneven wedding party. Should this really matter, having 4 bridesmaids 2 Jr bridesmaids and 4 groomsmen? Or is there another creative way to add them to our wedding? Any advice?
we are only having a total of two...lol. i think uneven wedding parties are common these days. I went to a wedding two years ago there were 11 bridesmaids and 9 groomsmen. One groomsmen had to privilege to escort two beautiful bridesmaids.
I agree w/ Chicagobride its okay to have an uneven Bridal party, and they are Jr Bridesmaids.. Another idea is use them to give the Parent speciall dedcation flowers from you and FI..
This is very common. Talk with your officant or minister and they can offer assistance. You can have one groomsmen escort (2) ladies one on each arm or you can have all the men at the front and then each lady makes her own way down the aisle.

Yep....I've seen it too! My vote is to leave it the way it is, if you're comforable with it. If you're concerned about photos, it'll work out! Sometimes the cookie cutter look is too much when it's so many people paired up. Your arrangement is unique, & sometimes it's nice to set a style that everybody else is doing. Oh, & to answer your initial question...we are having 2 Maids of Honor & 2 Best Men. One flower girl, & 2 ring bearers (twins)! Ours is a little off too, & I didn't even notice until now :)

Oops! I meant to say that sometimes it's nice to set a style that everybody else is Not doing. Good luck! I know it will work out.
i have 7 bridesmaids 2 junior bm's and a flower girl, 7 groomsmen, a ring bearer and 2 ushers... so a total of 20, but walking down i have 10 and he has 8 but my mom is the moh of honor and she will walk alone right before my my dad and i and then the youngest junior bridesmaid will walk alone, i am not sure about that last little bit yet, but thats what i think so far :) so anyway lol... do what you want, thats whats most important
I had to deal with the same situation myself. Jared and I decided on five on each side. I chose my two sisters, his sister, and my two best friends. We then decided that we wanted to have his four neices, who range in age from 6-10. We were unsure of the uneven numbers too, but then we thought that if we have two of them as jr. bridesmaids and two as flowergirls, they could just walk in pairs rather than with a male groomsmen. I think it's pretty common nowadays, plus it makes it so cute to add the little girls!

My wedding will be uneven. There will be one more groomsmen then bridesmaids. I don't it's that big of a deal, really. The one bridesmaid just walked in with two groomsmen and they all walked in last. Good Luck!!!
with your niece and god daughter I would have them as hostess at the entrance where the guests are arriving so they can pass out the programs. My sister did it this way because she wanted to include her nieces in her wedding as well. Worked out great
I've seen it quite often recently. Our bridal party is like yours on the smaller side, I have 4 BM (including MOH) 1 JR bridesmaid, 4 GM and 1 JR groomsmen.
The jr bridesmaids can either walk together or one behind the other. I think two jr is cute.

Currently we have 5 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen. Each bride will be lead by 2 guys. I just hope the men dont look overpowering in photos.
no it works fine I used the jr bridesmaids 2 to walk be hind me and basically were train holders as my veil is long and needs all the help it can get and my dress to be adjusted at bottom train. It was fine for pics we worked it out
You can use the two girls as ushers and have them hand out programs and have the help people get seated thats what i will b doing....just so they have a part in your special day
