Non-Alcoholic Beverages for our Outdoor Wedding
For Our Guests

Since we are having an outdoor wedding ceremony, I came up with an idea to serve a non-alcoholic beverage as our guests arrive. While they sit and wait patiently for our ceremony to begin they can enjoy a refreshing non-alcoholic beverage. HOWEVER, I can’t think of a non-alcoholic drink to serve!?!?!?!?! Should we have personalized bottled water or serve some type of punch/lemonade??? Also, should I have our ushers pass out the drinks as they hand out the wedding program?

Any ideas???

Serve cherry lemonade with sprite. It is so refreshing on a warm day especially with a lot of ice. Add a lime for color contrast and you can buy the Hot Dog On A Stick Cherry base for lemondae at their locations in a malls... It's my personal favorite :)

Both ideas above are great ones but I would think about the convience of the pssing out programs and a beverage without a lid on it.  Bottled water should be fine until the reception starts. NICE AND COLD OF COURSE and just make lables with your names and dates on it

Funny we are doing to same thing. We are getting married in Antigua and its extremely HOT in July, pray no hurricanes. We are doing personalized bottled water with both of our initials, my new last name & wedding date. Trust me your guest will appreciate it . So I think thats a wonderful idea.

Good LUCK!!!

I totally agree about the inconvenience of drinks without a lid. Bottled water or another beverage like pink lemonade might be nice. The guests wont have to deal with holding on to empty cups or glasses they can easily close the bottles and set them on the ground or throw them in a purse. Plus putting personalized labels on the bottles would be a nice touch. Your guests will totally apreciate it especially if its hot outside.

I posted some Jones Pops on my page if you're interested in a flavored drink with a top.  They come in various colors, & flavors & you can do labels just like for water bottles.  I have no clue what they taste like, but from the responses I've seen, more brides are in favor of the flavor than not.  Another Bride mentioned that you can get em at Sams or Costcos.   This is just an idea, so I COMPLETELY understand if you need to scratch it!!

My FAVOURITE non-alchoholic drink in the world is Pineapple juice with a splash of cranberry juice.

SO refreshing, it's honestly the most delicious thing ever.

It's almost my favourite DRINK drink too... throw a shot of Malibu rum in there and it's a beach in a glass!

We're having an outdoor ceremony, and our incorporating our "somethings" (new, old, borrowed, blue) into our drink choices while our guests arrive.

Old=lemonade
New=TBD (Pomegranate something maybe?  Love everyone's ideas on here!)
Borrowed=Cucumber Lemon Water
Blue=Blueberry Something...

We'll have a chalkboard sign on the table indicating our "somethings."

Mrs. Cherry Pie just blogged about the beverages they served at their outdoor wedding on Weddingbee; it may give you some ideas too. :)  They had several types of beverages, including coke from a glass bottle, arnold palmers, etc.

You could always serve bottle water with a tag that is made to fit some lemonade pouches or crystal light. That way they can have the convenience of the water but the flavor of lemonade. You could always personalized these to include your monogram, initials, etc.
