Ask a Question
Who is Walking You Down the Aisle?
In the past, it has always been assumed that the father of the bride is to be the one to walk her down the aisle. Nowadays, things are so different; family tension, having divorced parents, etc. I'm curious to know who will escort you down the aisle.

1. Will your father or stepfather walk you down the aisle?

2.Will your father or stepfather walk you down the aisle only halfway and then you walk the other half by yourself?

3.. Are you having your parents walk you down the aisle?

4.Will you have only your mother walk you down the aisle?

5. Do you have children, if so will they walk with you?

6. Or will you walk down the aisle yourself?

My dad!! I think it will be as much his day as it is mine, I have 4 sisters and I am the first to be married (the two oldest have kids and are not married)  and the others are younger than me, so I guess its the least I  can do for him- Yeah I will let him take me the whole way- he has the best smile- so i know the photos will be fantastic- I just know thats when I will cry :(

I am very close to my brother AND my dad. My bro has always been my "second dad," so both of them are walking me (I'll have to arms to hang on to if I get weak in the knees!) Just have someone you are close to do it! **I was planning another wedding prior to this (long sotry) and he guy was the instigation of a lot of family problems and for that, my brother was the only one going to walk me. Now for this, both will be by myside.

My parents are divorced, and I plan to walk down the aisle myself.  For me personally, I think it's more meaningful that way.

My mother will be walking me. I heard that the person who is walking you down the isle is suppost to be the person who has taken care of you thus far "giving you away" to the person who will now take care of you (your hubby). My mother was a single mom, so she took care of me and will be giving me away to my fh who will take over. ( for him it will be not so much financially as emotionally)

My dad is walking me down the aisle, but I like the thought of having both my parents walk with me.  I think I will cry alot or laugh too much if my mom walks with me.  We get too silly when we're together...especially in serious moments.

My dad passed away many years ago. I wanted both our mothers to walk together. I have no idea.

Both my parents will walk me down the isle and give me away. I think people just pick whoever is closest to them. Everyone has different family situations so it just all depends on your situation.

I am a single mom of a 16 year old son.  Over the past few years as he has matured, he has become very protective, therefore it is only fitting in my eyes that he "give me away"!

My daddy will be walking me down the aisle. We have both waitied for this day forever. When I was little he used to tell me he wouldn't give me away that Mickey Mouse would have to walk me down the aisle so I thought about breaking out some Mickey Mouse ears before we walk down. More to lighten the mood lol.

Both my parents will walk me.  My dad is sick and he keeps saying that he don't know so I got me a back up plan.  If he can't walk me down the isle I told him that we will wheel him LOL!  But if he's too sick to do anything My back up plan will work.  I already asked my Godfather to walk me down the isle.  My little brother could walk my mom.  My children are the ring bearers.    But if my plan works, both of my parents are walking me and that will keep me the happiest!
